82% off the high and the engine still calls stage 2 uptrend. bold. 1.88 with 1.6x vol on an up day is at least honest momentum, watching this one
death cross is still on the chart though. last time ATOM bounced off the 50d like this it faded back toward 1.4 within a month. seen this movie before
if it fades to 1.4 again the stop at 1.64 catches it well before your scenario. at least the plan prices in the pullback this time
fair on the death cross but last time there was no volume behind the bounce. 1.6x vol at 1.88 is the difference this time, at least for me
if we get the 1.4 revisit im just adding more. stop at 1.64 on a 15k plan is way tighter than what most of the comments here would actually run
Buying the 1.22 low was not me, unfortunately. Deploying at 1.88 with RSI at 56 feels late but the trend system has been right more than wrong this year
1.88 vs a 10.64 high is exactly why im still accumulating. the hub keeps shipping IBC updates even when price says otherwise
same. IBC transfer volume keeps grinding up while everyone obsesses over the ATOM chart lol
76 trades, 28% win rate, -60% over 2 years on the backtest and its still a HIGH conviction buy. trend following is a different religion i swear
check the expectancy not the win rate though. 76 trades is also a thin sample for a system this loose, id want 200+ before trusting the -60% number
fair on the sample size, but 200 trades on a strategy that never caught one runner just confirms the bleed with more decimals. the -60 pct over two years already told us
28% win rate is normal for breakout systems though, the few winners are supposed to run 5x and pay for everything. the -60% over two years is the actual red flag, means no winner ever ran on ATOM
Holding through the 1.22 low and only now getting a BUY at 1.88 is the annoying part of trend systems. Still, deploying the 15k plan with RSI at 56 beats trying to guess the bottom
IBC volume point is underrated but fees on the hub are close to nothing, so usage growth does not translate into ATOM demand the way stakers hope. structural issue nobody wants to touch
been saying this since the 2.0 proposal mess. all that IBC routing and the hub captures pennies of it. usage growing is nice, just not for ATOM holders
Agree, and the fee split makes it worse. IBC routing value flows to the app chains while the hub secures all of it. Being bullish on Cosmos usage says almost nothing about ATOM demand.
