Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

0.06 from a 0.39 high and people still call every dip a buy. The trade log says it all, nine round trips in two weeks and most of them red. Sitting this one out until it reclaims 0.07.
Same, that -5% print on Oct 7 when it slipped under 0.07 stung a friend of mine. Chop like this eats accounts slower than an actual crash does.
weird that the strategy still made +25% over two years while buy and hold lost 46%. even a broken clock i guess. still not touching CRO below both moving averages.
85% drawdown and ADX under 20, thats not a trend its a flatline. Even DCA with 12 buys only got you to 9,378 from 12k. hard pass from me.
the flatline point is underrated. with ADX under 20 there is no directional edge, so even that +25% two year run came mostly from dodging the worst legs, not from riding anything
An 85% drawdown from 0.39 and the system flags SELL only at 0.06? Feels late, but I suppose that is trend following for you.
trend following is always late by design, thats the whole tradeoff. you give up the first 20% and the last 20% to avoid riding it to zero
RSI 39.5 and resistance all the way up at 0.07 while BTC does +12% in a month. CRO cant even outperform on green days anymore, that says everything
0.07 is the line in the sand. until CRO closes a full week above it every bounce is just exit liquidity for people who bought the 0.39 top
death cross, 50d falling, and the 12k DCA test still ends at 9,378. averaging into a Stage 4 downtrend is just paying installments on a loss. cash waits better than hope does
