Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

adx 43 on something that moves 0.8% a day is funny. the buyback bid reads as a trend to the indicator but there is no trend to ride
adx at 43 on a token that mostly moves when bitfinex buys it back lol. and the backtest lost 30% while buy and hold did +8%, kinda tells you trend following is wasted on exchange tokens
bnb would like a word with the trend following wasted on exchange tokens take. LEOs issue is the buyback drip distorts the tape, the signal is fighting an active bid, not the category
bnb had real volume and listings behind it. leo trades like a bond with a coupon, trend filters were never gonna work
53 trades with a 40% win rate is brutal. but yeah, LEO is a slow bleed utility token, any signal system just chases noise on it
buyback-driven price action is still price action tho. the system does not care why it moves, only that it trends. but fair point, 53 trades to end down 30% is a lot of churn for a wait verdict anyway
40% winrate on 53 trades with a 0.8% daily range, spread and fees ate that backtest alive. same conclusion tho, nothing to trade here
price sitting at 9.01 right on the 50d while resistance is 9.09, thats basically touching. above 50d below 200d, classic chop zone. doing nothing is the right call
exactly, and adx at 43 in a bear regime means any long entry fights the trend filter anyway. sitting on hands until it reclaims the 200d is the whole trade here
