  1. -83.7% off the 0.48 high and the engine still says avoid. people holding this from last year are in pure cope territory

    1. backtest log says it all, bought 0.10 on sep 25, stopped out at 0.08 for -11.9%. system followed its own rules, respect that at least

      1. the system eating an 11.9 percent loss on doge while posters online call the bottom is the whole trend following pitch. rules beat feelings

        1. 57 trades and the discipline is the only edge showing. doge under the 50d and 200d with no bullish divergence is chop with a short bias, engine got it right

          1. discipline carrying the system is exactly why it says SELL, the engine doesnt care that doge used to be fun. 5,952 from 15k stings but the rules saved worse

          2. as a fellow system trader, eating the doge loss without flinching IS the edge. most people in these comments would have held to 0.02 on vibes

  2. 1 bull factor vs 9 bear and the one bull is a MACD cross lol. that thing fires false signals constantly in stage 4 chops

    1. macd crosses in a stage 4 chop are basically a random number generator. i wait for the 50d to flatten before trusting any cross, and its still falling hard here

  3. -60% on a 15k backtest with 57 trades and a 40% win rate and people still call this holdable. that 0.48 high feels like a different lifetime lol

    1. bagheld_since21

win rate was never the point with trend following, you eat small losses and ride the rare winner. still ended at 5,952 either way tho

    2. 57 trades is a decent sample for a chop period tbh. my question is whether that 0.07 support comes from the same backtest or just eyeballing the chart, big difference

      1. honest answer is eyeballed, the 2023 base near 0.07 lines up with volume nodes but its outside the backtest. fair catch, changes how much i trust the level

    3. Right, and the backtest still ended at 5,952 from 15k. The system followed its rules the whole way down from 0.48, that is not comfort, that is the problem.

    4. 0.07 support is doing a lot of emotional labor for everyone lol. price below both moving averages with ADX near 26, that level is wishful thinking until it actually holds on a close

  4. RSI at 40 with price below both the 50d and 200d MA is rough, but support holding at 0.07 is the only thing keeping me from full panic here

    1. holding because support might hold is exactly how 15k became 5.9k in the backtest tho. the engine sells because hopium is not a strategy

      1. sure but the 5.9k endpoint assumes you sit through every bounce too. one tagged re-entry off 0.07 and the whole path reshapes, thats the leg of the backtest nobody shows

  5. memes cut both ways. the same retail energy that took doge to 0.48 is why it cant hold 0.10 now, nothing underneath to catch it

  6. 0.07 is where the 2023 base sits so at least its tested ground. one elon headline either direction and the levels stop mattering anyway

    1. tested in a market that had actual liquidity. this cycle the bids are thinner and one elon headline pumps it straight into the exit signal anyway

  7. 83 percent off the high with RSI at 40 means its had every chance to bounce and chose not to. 0.07 is one bad headline from breaking

    1. rsi 40 on an 83 percent drawdown is the worst combo, no capitulation wick means nobody handed over the keys yet. system says sell, chart says holders still hoping

  8. no capitulation wick after an 83 percent drawdown is the detail everyone skips. sellers arent exhausted, theyre just bored
