0.09 against a 52 week high of 0.19 and the call is still HOLD with a 35k deployment. respect the honesty, most analysis pages would just flip to BUY and hope nobody scrolls back
still holding the MATIC i bought at 1.30 back in 2021. seeing that -52.6% drawdown line in the report card here somehow feels personal lol
1.30 cost basis and you are still here reading a POL backtest, that is real conviction or real cope and honestly both are valid at 0.09
cope would be panic selling at 0.09 tbf. im down from the migration era too but when the backtest itself loses 10.5%, doing nothing is the actual strategy
1.30 to 0.09 is its own lesson but the migration ratio softened it slightly. the real pain was holding through the bridge window when everyone assumed the swap was risk free
The backtest losing 10.5% while buy and hold returned +0.3% tells the whole story. Crossover systems just get chopped apart on POL, same as they did on MATIC.
agree on the chop, though id add the +0.3 percent buy and hold number flatters POL too. three months of sideways is basically the best case scenario for this chart lately
^ exactly, 16 trades at a 44% win rate is just slowly donating fees to the exchange. HOLD is the only honest call here
same story on matic, every crossover backtest looked fine until the chop ate it alive. POL needs a real trend regime before any signal system earns its fees
0.19 was the 52 week high and somehow HOLD still feels generous. the matic to pol swap gave everyone a clean exit window, most of us just didnt take it
