lump sum +133% vs 12-buy DCA at +10.1% on LIT is brutal. spreading entries ate almost all of the gains on this one
classic lump sum bias in the data. DCA only loses when the trend never dies, and lit did +74.1% in one stretch so a single entry did all the work
+74% in one stretch is exactly why the 4 bull vs 4 bear split says WAIT. one move does all the work then nothing for months
DCA always looks bad after a +133% year tho. it earns its keep the moment that -28.4% max drawdown turns into a real downtrend
the +10.1 percent dca number is the real warning. on an asset that ripped +74 percent in one stretch, spreading entries cost most of the move. hold with small tranches or nothing
10 percent over two years on DCA while lump sum did 133 is the textbook case. DCA is insurance against bad timing, not a returns strategy
HOLD with a 50% win rate on the signals seems generous to me. The system caught one big move, that is not a base rate I would trust with another 15k.
50% win rate on 4 trades is literally 2 wins in 2 years. i would not build a position plan around a sample that small either
2 wins in 2 years is the whole stats problem. add one losing trade and the win rate drops to 40, deployment plans need 30 signals before the label means anything
3.24 with vol ratio 1.34x on up days and still below the 50d. low conviction hold is the right call, this can chop sideways for months
golden cross printed but price still under the 50d at 3.80. first real test of that 4.02 resistance tells you if the stage 1 bottoming thesis holds
