  1. 87.5% drawdown from 4.33 and they still rate it HOLD? at that point just call it what it is, a bag holder trap

    1. onchain_analyst

Backtests on staking yields are always misleading because they do not account for token inflation dilution.

    1. the backtest showing -4.5% strategy returns vs -83% buy and hold is kinda misleading. 32% win rate with 28 trades is basically random noise

      1. Solana ecosystem is strong but Jito specifically has too much unlock pressure. I would wait for the unlock schedule to clear first.

        1. The unlock calendar clears next spring at the earliest. Waiting is a position too, and with restaking yields compressing it might be the worst one available.

          1. waiting beats a fifth tranche into a 0.54 token. if restaking yield is compressing anyway, sitting out the supply overhang costs less than farming 4 percent while drawing down another 40

          2. restaking yield compression means jito revenue bleeds from both sides. token price down and protocol yield falling is the worst combo

      1. thats the part that got me. a backtest that beats buy and hold by 80 points and they still wont commit past hold. these writeups hedge more than my portfolio

        1. These writeups hedge because a wrong call lives forever in the comments. But an 80-point backtest edge paired with a HOLD rating is strange. At -87.5% the hold case needs more than a Stage 1 label.

    2. 3.80 club president here. stopped averaging at 1.20 when i finally read the unlock calendar. some lessons cost more than others

  2. dexscreen_zombie

0.54 against a 4.33 high and the deployment plan says hold. whoever wrote this never watched a solana rotation gut every token that isnt the flavor of the week

  3. stage 1 bottoming at 0.54 against a 4.33 high is 90 percent faith. solana mev flow needs to triple before jto grows into anything close to that multiple again

    1. block_reward_drip

the 80 point backtest edge means nothing when your entry is 90% below the high and solana mev is a shrinking pie. backtests dont price supply overhang

      1. run that backtest again with the unlock calendar as an input and the edge evaporates. nobody does it because it kills the headline number

    2. mev flow tripling is the requirement everyone handwaves. jito takes get compressed from both ends and the multiple still prices 2021

      1. mev flow tripling is the bull case everyone quotes and nobody models. jito tip cut compression eats the take rate before volume even helps

        1. the tip cut compression point needs way more airtime. volume tripling means nothing if the take rate halves, the revenue math can still go sideways

  4. RSI at 38 with the golden cross still intact is the messiest bottoming setup possible. at least tomas admits low conviction, most would slap a BUY on the cross alone

  5. 0.54 with the golden cross intact is doing a lot of heavy lifting for a HOLD. low conviction is the only honest label in the piece

  6. 0.54 against a 4.33 high and the debate is whether HOLD is honest. it is, but only because SELL after -87 pct is performance art
