    1. to be fair the sim lost 63.2% while buy and hold ate -68.4%. trend following did its one job, cutting the bleeding

    2. 22 percent win rate still ending at 4,411 means the few winners are massive. Classic trend following, 45 small losses for two monster rides. Most people cannot sit through that, which is why it keeps working.

      1. trend following needs an actual trend. atom has been sideways to down since it lost 4 dollars, the 22 percent win rate is what chop does to a system

  1. The system flags 7 bull factors against 4 bear, but entry quality says extended with 0.76 R:R. I’d rather wait for a retest of the 50d at 1.46 than chase 1.55.

    1. the 1.46 retest assumes buyers are waiting there. atom has not held a bounce since it lost 4 dollars, i’d take 1.55 and thank the trend gods

      1. agreed on taking 1.55. every retest of the 50d at 1.46 assumes buyers show up and theres zero evidence they are waiting there

        1. same, the 1.46 retest assumes buyers are camped out there waiting. every ATOM bounce since it lost 4 dollars got sold, no reason this one breaks the pattern

      2. median_line_ every bounce since 4 dollars got sold into. taking 1.55 over hoping for 1.46 buyers is just pattern recognition at this point

    2. 0.76 R:R with extended entry quality is a pass from me too. ATOM bounces keep getting shallower, the 1.46 bid feels more like hope than a plan

  2. stage 3 trend on an 85 percent drawdown and the only bull case is ‘the alternative is worse’. staking apr keeping my bag company at this point

  3. A 12,000 portfolio turning into 4,411 across 59 trades and the verdict is still HOLD. At some point the system is just documenting the bleed.

  4. staking apr is doing the heavy lifting on my ATOM bags too. without it this is just a slow bleed with a support level nobody trusts

    1. 22 percent hit rate beating hold by 5 points is the most ATOM stat ever. you dont trade it for fun, you trade it because holding is somehow worse

      1. 5 points of outperformance for 45 losers along the way. trend following on ATOM is an endurance sport, holding is somehow worse but only barely

  5. 59 trades to turn 12k into 4,411 and the verdict is a shrug. staking apr being the only comfort food left on this chart

  6. HOLD at 1.55 with support at 1.46 is basically the analysis version of a shrug. fair honestly, but when a 22 percent win rate system is your best case, the bar is on the floor

    1. bar on the floor is right. 22 pct win rate being an improvement over holding is the most bearish bull case ive read all week

      1. staking apr as the bull case is where we are lol. a 22 percent win rate beating hold by 5 points is a participation trophy with a chart attached

    2. 12k down to 4.4k across 59 trades and the honest verdict is the system preserved capital in an asset that refuses to trend. low conviction hold is the correct shrug

      1. preserved capital is generous, 63 percent gone is 63 percent gone. but yeah the shrug verdict fits an asset with no trend to catch

  7. 52w high of 10.64 against a 1.55 print and the verdict is somehow still HOLD. that gap is the whole ATOM experience compressed into two numbers

  8. 0.76 R:R on an extended entry is a pass no matter what the factor count says. the system keeps waiting for a 1.46 retest that nobody believes in anymore
