Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate
Data via Yahoo Finance / CoinGecko · Not financial advice. For educational purposes only.
RSI 76.3 plus a death cross sitting in the bearish column and conviction is HIGH? bold call at 8.07
the death cross is stale though, 50d at 6.87 vs 200d at 6.90, basically resolved. ADX 46.8 is the actual signal here
BUY signal with RSI at 76.3? brave. gt ripped 21% in a month, entering here feels like paying for a move already done
backtest says DCA 12 buys beat lump sum by 12 points, splitting the 10k makes way more sense than aping in at 8.07
12 points is huge on an exchange token. and 8.31 resistance breaking would flip the whole death cross narrative overnight
8.31 flipping the death cross narrative only matters if volume stays. vol ratio 2.43 into resistance is the thing to watch, not the cross
agreed on volume over the cross. GT at 8.07 needs that 2.43 ratio to hold through 8.31 or the buy thesis stalls right where everyone else got stuck
the 2.43 ratio is the part nobody watches. volume dies at 8.31 and this becomes a breakout trap real quick
exactly, watch the tape at 8.31 not the indicator panel. RSI 76 meant nothing on the last leg up either
2.43 vol ratio into a level that rejected price twice is rare air for GT. add ADX 46.8 and the stage 2 call is defensible, exit discipline still decides it
volume check on the 8.31 test is the whole trade. if that 2.43 ratio collapses on approach, first tranche out and let the momentum crowd hold the bag
8.31 is everything for this thesis. backtest bought dips all the way down from 25.95, the 12 tranches only work if that vol ratio holds through the breakout
12 points of backtest edge plus a buyback attached to the token, the drip wins. lump sum only beats it if you nail the exact bottom
fair point on RSI 76.3 but the writeup literally splits the 10k into 12 tranches, youre not aping anything at 8.07
the backtest disagrees though, 12 tranches beat lump sum by 12 points on GT specifically. RSI 76 matters less when your average entry sits well below 8.07
12 points on the backtest and people still argue for lump sum at RSI 76. the tranche structure IS the edge on exchange tokens
paying for a move already done is exactly what momentum backtests reward though. 12 tranches means your later buys fix a bad first entry anyway
thats why conviction sits on the tranches, not the ticker. 8.31 break is your confirmation, below 6.87 the thesis is dead regardless
vol ratio 2.43 on GT while the rest of the market chops. exchange tokens front-running the cycle as usual, -68.9% off the high means room
vol ratio 2.43 on the accumulation side is the detail most will miss. ADX 46.8 with that is strong, 8.31 resistance is the first real test
GT at -68.9% off the 25.95 high with vol ratio 2.43 into accumulation. held this through 2022, adding small here feels way different than it did back then
A 10k deployment on one exchange token is brave. GT float is small enough that the exit matters more than the entry.
buying an exchange token at 8.07 with 10k, bold strategy cotton
GT burn plus a real buyback and that death cross is a museum piece by now. question is whether 8.31 gives way before the momentum crowd gets bored
gt burn plus buyback at -68.9 percent off the high is the part momentum models love. still sizing small, exchange tokens gap hard when sentiment flips
