Binance Sets September 24 Deadline for USDP: Full Delisting Calendar From Margin to Earn

Binance has set a final date for Pax Dollar. The exchange announced on September 10 that USDP will be delisted from spot trading at 03:00 UTC on September 24, starting a phased removal that will roll through deposits, withdrawals, margin positions, lending, Earn products and several other services over the following two months.

The decision is one of the broader stablecoin removals Binance has executed. It touches nearly every service the exchange operates, and it gives holders a series of deadlines that differ by product, some arriving within 24 hours of the announcement.

## Why Binance says it is delisting USDP

Binance said it periodically reviews listed digital assets against criteria that include trading volume, liquidity, network security, project development, public communication, token supply changes and regulatory requirements. The exchange did not identify one specific event behind the delisting, did not claim the stablecoin had lost its dollar backing, and did not say redemptions had stopped failing. The decision applies to Binance services, not to the operation of USDP itself.

Paxos, the issuer, has continued to state that USDP remains backed by cash and cash equivalents with one-to-one dollar redemption available. The stablecoin, introduced as Paxos Standard and later renamed Pax Dollar, currently operates on Ethereum and Solana.

## The deadline calendar

The removal unfolds in stages. The first restriction lands almost immediately: at 03:00 UTC on September 11, Binance One-Click Buy and Sell drops USDP and its related pairs, and isolated and cross-margin lending for the stablecoin stops at 06:00 UTC the same day.

September 16 is the heaviest day. Binance Pay and Binance Pool end USDP support at 03:00 UTC, with the mining pool settling final earnings the following day. Flexible-rate lending and VIP Loan services remove USDP as a borrowing and collateral asset at 07:00 UTC, with Binance warning that outstanding orders involving the stablecoin could be closed and liquidated automatically. USDP margin trading ends at 10:00 UTC, when Binance will cancel pending orders, settle isolated-margin positions and remove the related pairs. Users may temporarily lose the ability to update affected positions while that process runs.

September 17 brings the Earn and copy-trading exits. Spot copy trading removes USDP pairs at 03:00 UTC, with outstanding assets potentially sold at market prices and anything unsellable transferred to the spot account. Binance Earn removes USDP at 07:00 UTC, automatically redeeming flexible and fixed-term holdings and moving principal plus rewards into spot wallets. Dual Investment stops accepting new USDP subscriptions and redeems unsettled ones early.

The endgame runs from September 23 to 25. Small-balance conversion drops USDP at 02:00 UTC on September 23. Binance Convert follows at 02:00 UTC on September 24, one hour before spot trading ends at 03:00 UTC and every outstanding order is cancelled automatically. Gift Card support closes alongside the spot market. Deposits stop being credited at 03:00 UTC on September 25, meaning a transfer arriving after that deadline could remain uncredited even if the blockchain records it successfully.

## What happens to leftover balances

USDP balances can remain in wallets after trading stops, but Binance said the wallet interface will no longer display a valuation for the delisted asset, and users may need to disable the Hide Small Assets setting to see what is left. Withdrawals stay open until November 24, giving holders two months after spot trading ends to move funds. After November 25, Binance may convert remaining USDP into another stablecoin without guaranteeing exchange rates.

Users running trading bots on affected pairs were advised to cancel or update strategies before the deadline, since a bot could otherwise stop mid-sequence without completing its intended transactions. Binance also advised checking the destination address, supported network and service deadline before moving funds.

## Context: a shrinking stablecoin roster

The delisting continues a season of pruning at Binance. On September 4 the exchange placed four tokens under enhanced monitoring while removing fourteen others from its Alpha selection, though those Alpha removals were not full spot delistings. The USDP decision is broader precisely because a stablecoin threads through every product: margin, lending, payments, Earn, conversion and copy trading all had USDP integration that now must be unwound on separate schedules.

For Paxos the timing is awkward but not existential. The company’s flagship dollar stablecoin business has been consolidating around PYUSD, its PayPal-partnered token, while USDP has been the quieter sibling. Binance’s exit removes a major venue, but with redemption intact and the token live on two chains, holders who act before the deadlines keep full one-to-one access through Paxos directly.

The practical takeaway for users is simple: every USDP service on Binance has its own clock, the earliest expiries are hours away, and the last comfortable exit for most people is a withdrawal or conversion well before November.

Prices at the time of writing: BTC 78,500 USD, ETH 2,496 USD, SOL 104 USD.

  1. some product deadlines land within 24 hours of the announcement. hold usdp in earn and skip a day of reading notices, and you are on their schedule now, not yours

    1. this is why i keep stablecoins off exchange entirely. binance hands you a calendar, self custody hands you no deadline at all

  2. USDP gets the full service-by-service delisting calendar while FDUSD quietly keeps its spot. read that however you want

    1. Binance holds a chunk of FDUSD reserves and has been steering volume there since 2023. USDP was dead weight the moment that deal was signed

      1. FDUSD share on binance climbed after every other stable got delisted or gated. the steering has been visible for anyone watching order books

  3. USDP used to be PAX, the one binance pushed as the regulated dollar. five years later it gets a two month teardown calendar. loyalty means nothing on an exchange

  4. Sept 16 is the dangerous one. Margin pairs cancelled at 10:00 UTC with positions possibly liquidated mid-process. Anyone using USDP as collateral should sort that out this weekend, not on the day.

    1. already moved mine out. auto-liquidation clauses inside a delisting notice are never written in your favor, sort collateral early folks

  5. At least Paxos keeps saying redemptions are fully backed, otherwise this calendar would read much scarier than it does. Still moving my balance out before the margin deadlines

  6. watch usdp velocity on other venues over the next two weeks. forced migrations off binance usually print a nice little premium somewhere

    1. same play as the last forced migration. whoever is holding USDP bags on another venue when binance sellers rush out gets a nice little premium for doing nothing

  7. first deposits cutoff landing within 24h of the announcement is brutal for anyone not glued to the announcements page lol
