Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

8 bull factors vs 2 bear and the bear ones are just drawdown and one red candle. decent setup but going from 126k to 83k still hurts to look at
minus 34 percent drawdown and still stage 2 uptrend. this is just the 2021 second half running on repeat
34 percent off the high and they’re calling it stage 2 uptrend with a straight face. ADX 43 is strong tho, i’ll give em that
stage 2 just means higher lows mate, doesnt need a new ATH. golden cross on the daily is real either way
the ADX 43 reading is the only reason im not laughing at the stage 2 call. trend strength is real, entries still decide the outcome
bought near the 74.9k support zone last week. resistance at 87.3k is the line im watching, if that breaks the deployment plan looks obvious in hindsight
bought near 74.9k too and honestly the 87.3k wall is the whole trade. break it and hindsight makes everyone a genius, reject and we are all swing traders
87.3k is also where the old chop was, expect a fight there not a clean break
march wick through 87.3k lasted about four hours before the rejection. agreed, thats a fade level not a breakout level
march wick through 87.3k lasted four hours before rejection, calling it now that level rejects the first visit again. fade it, dont chase it
fading the first visit worked in march, but ADX at 43 says this trend already wants up. the wick hunters can have that trade
that march wick swept stops under 74.9k before reversing too. fading the first touch is fine, just dont pretend the wick both ways isnt part of the trade
march wick victim here. held through the 87.3k rejection thinking it was the breakout, twice shy this time
march wick gang checking in too, stopped at 74.9k and reversed without me. smaller tranches into 87.3k or nothing
same entry as you near 74.9k. if 87.3k rejects twice im taking half off and waiting, no way im holding a full bag through that wall
splitting 10k into tranches above 83k in a 34 percent drawdown is brave. id keep half in dry powder for a 74.9k retest before committing
half in dry powder at 74.9k assumes the retest comes. stage 2 with adx 43 means higher lows might just run and the dry powder buys 88k instead
exactly, adx 43 setups punish the waiters. half size now and half on a daily close above 87.3 beats full size at 88 fomo
half in dry powder waiting for a 74.9k retest sounds smart until it never comes and you deploy at 88 instead. tranching exists to fix exactly that
deploying at 88 after waiting for a 74.9k retest is classic revenge fomo. i just scale on closes above the 50d and stop guessing the bottom
8 bull factors vs 2 bear is a nice slide but the march wick through 87.3k lasted four hours. levels this violent deserve smaller tranches than any plan admits
8 bull factors against 2 bear and the whole trade still lives or dies on one 87.3k wall. checklists are vibes until the level actually breaks
8 bull factors against 2 bear and the plan still spaces entries over weeks instead of one shot. someone at the desk learned something from the 126k top
the tranche spacing is the one good idea in the whole plan. 34 percent drawdowns punish conviction sizing
8 bull vs 2 bear with price stuck under 87.3k resistance. the checklist counts what already happened, entries decide what happens next
