the 2yr backtest returned -0.7% while buy and hold did +135.9% and the signal is still BUY at high conviction lol. I like OKB here but not because of this system
Fair point on the backtest, but the deployment plan itself is workable. 3000 position, stop at 110.04, first target 132. That is a 1.35 R:R you can actually manage.
resistance at 122.75 is sitting right above the 120.53 entry. breakout entry makes sense but id want a daily close above it first
Agree, though OBV accumulation and 1.97x volume on the up day says the breakout attempt is close. Watching the 103 support either way.
strategy returned -0.7% over 2 years while buy and hold did +135.9% and this is a BUY signal? the system literally proved itself wrong in its own backtest lol
@emberlong thats kinda the point of trend following tho, you eat chop to catch the one big leg like that aug 17 entry at 99
backtest aside, okb tracks okx exchange volume and that has been climbing all month. the chart is only half the story here
38% win rate across 32 trades and it still printed roughly flat. The last trade (+21.6% from 99) is doing all the work here.
120 area has rejected OKB three times since july. not touching it before a daily close above 122.75, everything else is noise
three rejections since july and each one rolled back into the 100s. waiting for the daily close above 122.75 is free discipline honestly
53% off the high at 257 and they call it Stage 2 uptrend with RSI 65. imo the 122.75 resistance is the real test, above that this gets interesting
DCA table is the quiet winner. 12 buys at +22.1% vs lump sum +8.8% on the same year. nobody times the breakout, tranches win
lump sum only wins when the breakout runs immediately, and with three july rejections at 120 it probably wont. tranches it is
^ exactly, and 122.75 is also where the march rejection started before the slide to 99. confluence on that level is real
stage 2 off a 53% drawdown with OBV climbing is the textbook continuation setup. the 122.75 test is binary, either it goes or it doesnt
