54% down from 257 and the system still prints HOLD. trend followers really would rather miss the whole move than buy one candle early lol
The +1.2% backtest next to +131.5% buy and hold is the real story here. System dodged a -33.9% drawdown and gave up basically all the upside for it.
thats the trend following deal tho. +1.2% next to +131.5% buy and hold looks bad until you remember most people panic sold somewhere inside that -33.9% and never re-entered
^ waiting is free. okb still did +61.8% over 6 months anyway, the trend pays you when it turns
Price sitting between support at 111.59 and the 50d at 117.96, RSI at 44. No edge is right. I sold half near 140 and I am not buying back before that resistance goes.
Sold at 140 as well, but 111.59 has held every test so far. If RSI gets back above 50 I would rather pay up than miss another six month run like the +61.8% in this piece.
Everyone mocking the HOLD forgets the system has no idea the top was 257.03. It only knows price is -54.2% off and the trend has not turned. Buying because it used to be 257 is how bag holders get made.
