Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate
Data via Yahoo Finance / CoinGecko · Not financial advice. For educational purposes only.
RSI at 38 with OBV rolling over — I have seen this bottoming movie before. The only thing holding the structure together is price sitting above the 200d at 1.28. 1.25 support is the line that matters; lose that and the +32% three-month gain evaporates fast.
the OBV rollover gets less scary when you factor the deploy plan, 2 tranches with a 25% cash buffer means nobody following this is all-in at current prices anyway. agree 1.25 is the line tho
the 200d at 1.28 is doing quiet heavy lifting here. lose 1.25 and the golden cross story goes with it
Three bull factors against six bear ones says everything — no edge here. Respect for calling it WAIT instead of forcing a trade. I would rather miss the first 10 percent of a reversal than catch another leg down through support.
Missing the first 10 percent is fine until the system itself says otherwise. The simulation only buys on RSI 40 to 75 and RSI sits at 38, so there is literally no entry signal yet. HOLD is just the model talking.
correct on the entry window. only addition, the buffer turns the 1.25 line from a stop out into a discount zone, which changes the psychology of holding through the chop completely
Golden cross but price under the 50d at 1.42 is the classic awkward phase — long-term trend intact, momentum not turned yet. ADX at 27.8 showing real bear trend strength makes me think the 1.25-1.65 range resolves sideways before anything else.
sideways is the boring answer but probs right. ADX 27.8 aint lieing, this chops til 1.25 breaks or RSI gets back over 40
ADX 27.8 aint lying, this chops between 1.25 and 1.65 until RSI reclaims 40. boring correct read
target 2 at 2.00 against a 1.20 stop is basically a 5 to 1 setup on paper. but who actually holds a tranche through a drawdown toward 1.00 lol. the plan says aggressive and it means it
A 5 to 1 setup you will never actually hold through is a 1 to 1 setup in practice. The 25% cash buffer is what makes this plan survivable.
The stop at 1.20 is doing all the work, that is a 10 percent hole from 1.33. Most followers will bail at minus 6 and turn the 5 to 1 into a coin flip
the 10 percent hole from 1.33 is the feature though. wide stop plus small tranches means one wick doesnt end the whole 12k plan
most followers bail at minus 6, exactly. the stop only works if you actually take it, backtests never model the hand shaking
the 10 percent hole is the fee for a 5 to 1. people want the payoff without the invoice, thats why plans die at minus 4 not minus 10
5 to 1 on paper survives exactly until price tags 1.10 and everyone quietly cancels their orders. the 25% buffer is the adult in the plan
counterpoint: the buffer exists for exactly that 1.10 visit. if the 25% never deploys the plan failed at design stage anyway
if 1.10 hits and the buffer deploys, the R updates anyway. the plan prices in its own failure mode, rare for xrp calls
orders quietly cancelling at 1.10 is the honest version of every deployment plan. whoever holds the tranche through that is the exception, not the rule
cancelled at 1.10 and rebought lower is the usual sequel to that story. discipline on paper, discretion in the app
1.33 against a 52w high of 3.65, thats a 63% drawdown and they still say HOLD lol. respect the 12k split tho, id be too tempted to yolo one tranche
63 percent drawdown is exactly why the 25% buffer exists, you cant tranche a 12k stack into chop without dry powder. the plan isnt brave, its just built for the asset
6 bear factors against 3 bull ones and the targets still stretch to 2.00. the 12k sleeps fine until RSI clears 40, no reason to rush it
RSI at 38 means the model literally has no entry signal right now. HOLD is the system refusing to fomo, respect the discipline even if the 12k sits idle for weeks
exactly, RSI 38 with ADX under 30 means the 12k is doing its job by sitting still. deployment plans fail when people feel obligated to deploy something
the 5 to 1 only exists because the stop is honest at 1.20. most xrp calls on my timeline have no stop at all, just vibes and a 2 dollar target
