    1M TPS in controlled env is impressive but lets see it under real load. lab numbers and mainnet are very different

      lab numbers always look clean because there is no MEV, no congestion, no failed state transitions. agree with shard_scientist, mainnet or it didnt happen

      nightshade 2.0 flat sharding is legitimately different from other sharding approaches. the chunk-only producer design means validators dont need to process every shard. that is how you get to 1M TPS without insane hardware requirements

        the chunk-only producer model is what makes this actually work. validators pick a shard and go deep instead of shallow across all. most people commenting on NEAR have no idea how nightshade actually works

    1. lab TPS is always clean. the second you add real MEV pressure and user txs the numbers halve at minimum. still waiting on mainnet proof

    2. every chain pivoting to AI is a fair criticism but NEAR actually has the sharding infrastructure. most AI-native chains are just adding a chatbot to their docs lol

      1. rajiv the chatbot comment is unfair, near was doing doomslug and nightshade before the ai rebrand. the ai stuff maps onto existing infra, its not bolted on
