two year backtest on a 10k stack and the final value is 10,002. honestly kind of the point with AAA clo paper, you rent money not gamble it
renting money is exactly it. two dollars of profit on 10k is the backtest telling you the edge is the carry spread, everything past that is noise
carry spread on aaa paper is basically a money market with extra steps. fine place to park while i wait on other entries
10,002 after two years still beats my checking account. the real point is it never draws down 40% on a tuesday
true until the aaa sleeve meets an actual credit event. 2020 would have been the test, this cycle hasnt produced one yet
the aaa sleeve hasnt met a real credit event in this funds short life. the backtest everyone quotes is the parent strategy, not the token wrapper
an ETF up 2.8% in a whole year gets a HIGH conviction BUY call with ADX 74.5 lmao. trend following on something with 0.01% daily ATR, the signal is reading tea leaves
^ exactly. the backtest made 2 dollars on 10k. you are here for the carry, the RSI filter is decoration
the rsi filter is decoration and honestly so is the backtest. JAAA is a 1.05 grind next to a -0.1% max drawdown, you hold it so the rest of the portfolio has room to swing
the comedy is the adx 74.5 being technically correct. strongest trend alive and it points sideways at 1.05
tea leaves or not, the alternative is t-bills at roughly the same yield with reinvention risk every month. i will take the boring 1.05 grind and sleep
the buy call is really a cash parking rating with extra steps. adx on a 1.05 grind is trivia, not analysis
every technical rating on a clo fund is trivia honestly. the aaa sleeve and the yield screen are the entire thesis
adx 74.5 on a 1.05 grind is the funniest chart in finance. strongest trend alive, zero destination, perfect cash parking
strongest trend alive and the destination is another 1.05. my emergency fund finally has a chart worth screenshotting
ADX at 74.5 on something that moves 0.01% a day is amusing. strongest trend in the market and it goes nowhere, lol
^ its a feature not a bug. that adx reading just means the 1.05 peg-ish grind is stable, which is exactly what you want parked next to dry powder
JAAA grinding at 1.05 near its 52w high while BTC did 36% in 3 months. Different tools entirely. The -0.1% max drawdown column is the whole pitch for the AAA CLO sleeve of my portfolio.
silly comparison table imo. jaaa +2.8% vs btc -3.0% over 1yr sure, but sol did +65.7% in 3 months. different tools for different jobs
comparing a clo carry fund to a 3 month sol candle is the silliest flex in this thread. one is a cash substitute, the other is a lottery ticket
Different jobs is exactly it. JAAA is where the dry powder sits while the lottery tickets do their thing elsewhere.
dry powder framing is right. just dont expect it to outhustle a savings account by much
it doesnt need to outhustle anything. jaaa is the bench, and a savings account doesnt hold a 1.05 line through a credit scare
support and resistance both listed at 1.05 made me chuckle. when the range is that tight I guess you take what you can get
support and resistance both at 1.05 is accidentally the most honest line in the analysis. the tight range is the entire thesis for the AAA sleeve
10k parked at 1.05 while the rest of the ladder waits is exactly the plan. the yield is the point, the technicals are decoration
