sol at 104 after touching 294 is criminal. holding thru a -64.5% drawdown takes patience i clearly dont have lol
Same boat. 294 to 104 and they still call it Stage 1 bottoming. I keep telling myself price holding the 200d is the only signal that matters here.
^ the 200d hold plus golden cross is the only reason i havent averaged down yet. RSI at 41 is doing me no favors
averaging down before 100.51 even gets tested is the classic early move. the system waited this long, one more week costs nothing
wait for the 100.51 test and it never comes, average in early and it breaks. the 200d has bailed me out twice this year, no shame in the system sitting on its hands
rsi 41 with adx 25 just means the downtrend is real and nobody capitulated yet. id let 100.51 support get tested before touching the first 2,500 tranche
A WAIT call with 3 bull vs 5 bear factors is refreshingly honest. ADX 25 on a strong bear trend means deploying the full 10k now would be catching a falling knife.
Agreed on waiting. The 12-buy DCA did +8% while the trend system lost 17.7%. Tells you which approach actually fits chop like this.
the backtest is the funniest part here. strategy returned -17.7% over 2 years and they still printed a deployment plan. 48 trades for a 44% win rate is a lot of churn to lose money
the -17.7 backtest is exactly why the call is WAIT though. the system only pays when a real trend shows up, in chop it bleeds fees on 48 trades. keeping the 10k dry for the actual setup instead of forcing tranches at 104 is the whole discipline
48 trades to lose 17.7% while a dumb 12 buy DCA did +8 is brutal but also the whole lesson. chop punishes systems built for trends
the 12 buy dca winning is regime luck. flip to a trend year and that same dca eats the full -64 and holds it to the bottom
fair, but the dca also sat through the -64.5 without selling a sat. regime luck or not that is the only system most people will actually stick to
100.51 is the line. if it holds on a retest the first 2,500 tranche makes sense, below it the 200d narrative dies with the level
