qnt at 176 with deployment capped at 30k is just careful dca with extra steps. fine by me, the interoperability narrative runs for years
61 trades, 39% win rate, and the system still lost 57% while buy and hold did +79.8%. the backtest section is doing more damage than the market lol
the system also sold at 176 after buying 244.53. at some point a hold coin just gets a hold system, radical concept i know
^ this. and check the trade log, that october buy at 244.53 sold at 176 for -27.8%. the signals bought the literal top
bought 244.53 sold 176, the system caught the top and the bottom in one trade. you cant script it better lol
bought 244.53, sold 176. that one trade line deserves a poster in every algo trading office in the country
that -27.8% line is the whole credibility argument for the newsletter honestly. printing it one column over from the +79.8% buy and hold took guts, most signal sellers bury that table
Publishing the losing trade one column over from the winners is the only reason to trust these tables at all. Most signal sellers would have buried the -27.8% line in a footnote you have to request by email.
Been holding QNT since it was in the 70s and that -57.4% backtest vs +79.8% buy and hold is all the proof I need. Sometimes the best system is doing nothing.
six years of bags and one glance at that backtest table says it all. 61 trades for a worse result than sleeping
hold since the 70s here too. one good signal in 61 trades and it still caught -27.8%, the system is decoration on a hold thesis
hold since the 70s gang checking in. the 134.92 stop is basically decorative at 15% position size, which is honestly the whole point of a hold coin
stop loss at 134.92 is a 23% cushion from 176. fine at the 15% position size the plan suggests, brutal if you went all in
Position sizing saves every flawed system, true. But publishing a backtest that trails buy and hold by 137 points and still calling it HOLD is the funniest part.
39% win rate with a minus 57% backtest getting published at all is honestly commendable. most newsletters bury that table entirely
qnt at 176.59 against a 357 high and the thesis is still just wait. the 30k capped dca looks right, interop budgets move slower than charts do
