adx 47.4 with price above both mas is about as clean a trend signal as youll get. still nervous buying something down 72% from the high tho
the drawdown stat scares people off but it bought at 1.97 in august and its already at 2.29. entry timing matters more than the 52w number imo
marta you realize the system also sold at 1.98 in june after buying 2.54 right. thats a -22% round trip. the backtests look tidy but live chop eats you
fair on the june round trip but check the dca table, 12 buys did +36.9% while the trend system bled 40%. lesson is just dont let a bot trade chop for you
36.9% across 12 buys while the trend system bled 40% in the same window. the dca table settled this argument months ago, entries are not the story
^ but 12 buys means the last slices are buying strength, not weakness. the 36.9 came from patience nobody backtests
entries not being the story is the whole lesson. 12 staged buys at +36.9 while the trend bot bled 40 in the same window, patience beat the indicator and nobody wants to hear it
trend bot bleeding 40 percent while dca printed 36.9 in the same window is the strongest argument in this whole analysis. chop regime, size accordingly
That 40 percent trend bleed is also the same window the broader alt market chopped sideways. Bots need volatility, the dca leg just needs time.
that -22% june round trip is exactly why i would take the dca leg over the trend leg on this one. its chop until 2.71 breaks
2.29 with adx 47 after a 72 percent drawdown is the setup everyone ignores until it triples. staged entries at least make it survivable
Support at 1.57 gives a decent invalidation level. If that breaks the whole stage 2 thesis is done and I am out. Risk defined, no complaints.
rsi 59.8 is the sweet spot, enough momentum left before it gets cooked. resistance at 2.71 is the real test, ~18% upside from here
9 bull factors 1 bear factor and the one bear factor is a 72% drawdown lmao. cope ranking: chartist
the 52w high factor is the laziest bear case on the board. 8.24 was a totally different regime, punishing the 2026 chart for 2025 vibes is weird
the 9 factors are literally ranked by weight and the drawdown one scores lowest in the table. calling cope on a system that shows its own math is lazy
lmao cope ranking, but the one bear factor being a 72 percent drawdown is the only one that matters if you sized wrong. table still says stage 2 tho
stop at 1.96 but support is 1.57? if 1.96 is the line fine but call it what it is, a tight trend stop, not a support play. adx 47 wont save you from a gap down
a 1.96 stop on a 1.57 support thesis is asking to be wicked out and reentered higher. the june round trip already showed how that movie ends
the june round trip argument cuts both ways, a 1.96 stop got you out near 1.98 before the slide to 1.57. wicked out or saved, depends which leg you rode
1.96 saved you from 1.57 once already per wengrid below. ill take the wicked out over riding a 72 percent drawdown twice
entry 2.29, invalidation 1.57 is like 31% downside vs 18% upside to the 2.71 resistance. sketchy risk for a buy rating tbh
2.29 entry with invalidation at 1.57 is a wide stop for a trend setup. the june round trip already showed what chop does inside that range
the wide stop is sort of the point tho, the 12k goes out in tranches so 1.57 only marks the last slice. chop eats lump sum entries, staged ones eat the chop
buying a 72 percent drawdown takes nerve but adx 47 with price above both moving averages is one of the cleaner stage 2 signals ive seen printed here
