Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate
Data via Yahoo Finance / CoinGecko · Not financial advice. For educational purposes only.
dot at 1.10 against a 52w high of 11.60, down 90.5%, and the system still prints BUY. calling a stage 2 uptrend this early is brave
^ brave is what they said about buying at 4. the signal only flipped after price reclaimed the 50d, that is literally the whole system. no vibes involved
resistance at 1.28 is roughly 16% away with ATR of 6.26% a day. one strong week clears it, one bad one puts us back under a dollar. tight either way
cold math in the DCA table. lump sum -30.5%, twelve buys -21.5%. every path into dot this year lost money, the signal just says the bleeding slowed
twelve buys at -21.5% is still better than my one shot at 2.40 lol. at least the ladder gets to average the final stretch down near 1.10
ATR of 6.26% daily means the 16% gap to 1.28 is barely three sessions of drift. cuts both ways though, one red week under a dollar and the stage 2 talk dies fast
three sessions of drift up assumes anyone is actually buying. volume ratio 1.52 says maybe, but i want a weekly close over 1.28 before believing stage 2
weekly close over 1.28 is the right gate. until then the 50d reclaim at 1.10 is just a lower high inside a 90 percent drawdown, volume ratio or not
the 1.28 gate argument again. a weekly close above it with this volume runs fast, which is exactly why the tranche exists. you dont get filled after the gate clears
right, and the ATR math cuts the other way too. one 6.26 percent candle blows thru the 0.96 stop no problem, which is why the small tranche sizing is the actual system here
which is why 0.96 under a 50d reclaim matters more than people admit. a stop below structure at least gets a retest before the wick
^ and the accumulation numbers back it up, obv climbing with a volume ratio of 1.52 reads like real buying, not a squeeze. 0.81 holding is my tell too
stage 2 call with price 90.5% off the 11.60 high feels early, but the 50d reclaim is the first structural thing DOT has done in months. size it small or it is just hope with a chart
brave would be buying 11.60 and calling it a dip. a 50d reclaim with rising OBV is more structure than this chart has shown all year, small size and a stop is just process
twelve buys at minus 21.5 percent against lump sum at minus 30.5 and people still fight about entries. the ladder won by nine points doing absolutely nothing clever
DOT down 90.5 percent from 11.60 and the debate is whether a 50d reclaim at 1.10 counts as structure. humble goals at this point
90 percent off and we are arguing about a 50d reclaim, peak dot discourse. been doing monthly buys since 2.80 and the boring ladder just keeps winning
monthly buys since 2.80 is undefeated. every one of these analysis posts argues about entries while the ladder crowd just quietly outperforms both the traders and the holders
ladder since 2.80 is a different product than a 30k deployment plan tho. the post is about timing a tranche, not surviving on autopilot
fair, but the tranche is designed for being early. a stop under 0.96 with the 50d reclaim and OBV rising is a cheap lottery ticket, not a conviction buy. ladder and tranche both beat my 2.40 bag anyway
backtest turns 30k into 20.3k over two years and the badge still says BUY. respect the honesty of printing the drawdown, still not deploying lunch money
the system printing a two year drawdown and still flagging BUY is honestly the most trustworthy thing here. no signal shop posts its own bad numbers
printing the minus 32 percent backtest is exactly why i half trust it. every signal account on my feed shows green only
printing the minus 32 percent run is the only reason i read these. signal pages on x never show the bad backtest, this one puts it in a table
minus 32 percent run printed in the table and people still call it cope. the R:R at 1.10 is thin but the page is honest about it
