KOMPETE v0.93 Doubles Sunrise Greens to a Full 18 Holes: New Split Clubs, Gloves and a Faster Blitz Zone Explained

KOMPETE has doubled the size of its golf game overnight. The v0.93 update, released on PC, iOS and Android, turns Sunrise Greens into a complete 18-hole course that plays to par 72, and it breaks every club set into separate Driver, Irons and Putter pieces that players can mix and match in the locker.

The studio behind the free-to-play multigame platform announced the patch in an Oct. 4 post on X, with full patch notes dated Oct. 3 — just five days after the previous v0.92 release on Sept. 28. For a game that already offered Blitz Royale, Kart Race, Golf and Coin Pusher on one shared account across PC and mobile, the message is clear: golf is no longer a side attraction, and the developers are iterating at a pace that would make most studios dizzy.

Sunrise Greens Finally Becomes a Real Course

Sunrise Greens, the only golf course in KOMPETE, has gained a back nine — and it is not a copy-paste job. According to the patch notes, the new holes bring “a lake, bunkers and ridges” to the layout, and the scorecard now shows separate totals for the front nine and the back nine, the way a proper club scorecard would.

Before this update, the KOMPETE Golf page described Sunrise Greens at Solaris Country Club as a nine-hole, par 35 course measuring 2,996 yards with 12 sand bunkers. The course sits on Mahzookoo North, the same island that hosts the rest of KOMPETE’s modes. The expanded layout does not just add holes — it changes how the whole course plays. Drives are now capped at a maximum distance, and holes that players could previously reach with a single drive have been lengthened. The full 18 plays to par 72.

Your Club Set Is Now Three Items

The deeper change is in the inventory. Each club set used to be a single item; now every set is divided into separate Driver, Irons and Putter items, so players can combine clubs from different sets in the locker. Each piece also has its own skin slot, opening the door to cosmetics that mix a driver from one collection with a putter from another.

Golf gloves have been added for all 16 club sets, and 22 new golf effects arrive alongside them — ball trails, landing rings and putt lines that let players customize how their shots look. The team said these items are “all soon to be added to the store,” which points to a fresh wave of monetization built around the expanded golf mode.

  • 18 holes, par 72 — the back nine adds a lake, bunkers and ridges to Sunrise Greens.
  • Capped drives — maximum drive distance is now limited, and previously reachable holes were lengthened.
  • Split clubs — Driver, Irons and Putter are separate items with skin slots, mixable across sets.
  • 16 glove sets, 22 effects — ball trails, landing rings and putt lines, heading to the store.
  • New commentary — fresh lines for the back nine and full rounds; factually wrong lines were rewritten.

Boardwalk, Faster Blitz Zones and a Pile of Fixes

The rest of the game gets attention too. Coin Pusher receives a new map called Boardwalk, set in a pier arcade complete with a Ferris wheel. The developers described it as “not the Arcade, just something fun we made while testing new level pipelines.” Coins now slide across the board instead of flipping over, boards start with coins laid out in a neat grid around a teddy bear prize, and boards can hold far more coins than before — with every coin saved.

Blitz Royale, meanwhile, gets noticeably faster: the safe zone now starts closing just eight seconds into a match, accompanied by a “ZONE CLOSING IN” countdown and a warning sound. Loot dropped by eliminated players stays on the map for the rest of the match, giving early aggression more reward. Fixes target prison doors that opened onto solid walls, sealed or floating loot safes, parked cars on Mahzookoo that caused phantom explosions, and revives that cancelled when a player looked away mid-button-hold.

Mobile Players Get the Most Out of This Patch

A long list of fixes focuses on phones and tablets. Mobile players can now aim left and right in the golf camera preview by dragging on the right side of the screen, and drag aiming no longer jumps on the first touch. The patch eliminates a brief freeze at the start of Hole 1 and a bug on iPhone that hid the ball’s landing circle. Characters and the lobby no longer turn gray on some iPhones and iPads, and lobby music no longer goes silent after leaving and returning to the app.

Across all platforms, matches load faster behind the loading screen, players should no longer get stuck on the LOADING PROFILE screen during sign-in — including on a second device or a quick reopen — and a new Character Voices volume slider in settings also controls emote voice lines. Kart Race picked up three fixes of its own, including a lap timer that now stops when a racer finishes and a working wrong-way warning sound.

The Verdict

KOMPETE is developed by Modernize Games in Unreal Engine 5, and the trajectory of its golf mode tells the story of a studio testing what sticks. A nine-hole curiosity in July has become a full championship-style layout by October, with split club inventories, effects, gloves and commentary rewrites that suggest long-term investment rather than a throwaway minigame. For blockchain-curious players, KOMPETE remains one of the most accessible on-ramps: it is free to play, runs on one account across PC and mobile, and requires no wallet to swing a club.

The caveat is the one the studio itself attaches to every release: “This is an Early Access build. Things will definitely be broken. We push fast and hard.” Players who value stability over velocity may want to wait a patch or two. But if the pace holds, the question is no longer whether KOMPETE golf is serious — it is what the course looks like by the time spring arrives.

  1. Doubling nine holes to a full 18 playing par 72 just five days after v0.92 is absurd pace. Most golf games take a whole season to ship one new hole.

    1. Right? And splitting the bag into separate Driver, Irons and Putter pieces means the meta actually matters now instead of one preset for everything.

  2. Faster Blitz Zone is the quiet headline here. Golf is fun but Blitz Royale is where the daily population actually lives on mobile.

    1. Agreed, though I hope the pace changes do not leave older phones behind. Cross-platform on one shared account only works if the weakest device keeps up.

  3. capped drives is a brave call, half the fun was bombing it over everything on the old front nine. respect the pacing fix though

  4. split clubs finally means my putter doesnt have to match the rest of the set. skin slots per piece is free money for the cosmetics crowd

  5. a par 35 front at 2,996 yards going to full par 72 means the back nine with that lake and the ridges must play way harder
