44.5% backtest return but look at the actual trade log, six trades since september and five were red. the system eats chop for breakfast
That is kind of the point though. Every loss in that log was under 1 percent, the wins cover it. Trend following pays on the one big move
true in theory but TRX hasnt trended properly since 2021. the one big move has to actually show up at some point or the small losses just compound
six trades since september on a daily system is a nothing sample, but yeah, chop eats these alive. TRX has ranged 0.31 to 0.35 for months now
44.5 percent from six trades is one winner doing all the work. that backtest number tells you nothing about the next quarter of chop
five red out of six is what a trend system looks like in chop though. tiny losses then one runner pays for all of it. the 0.73 vol ratio is the actual problem
the runner thesis needs TRX to actually trend once. its been 0.31 to 0.35 for most of a year, the runner never shows up in a range
been saying this. a 12k deployment plan doesnt change the range, TRX pays you in stablecoin fees and nothing else. hold the shelf or hold nothing
six trades is not a sample its an anecdote. the hold call is fine but nobody should size a position off that log
stop loss at 0.33 when price IS 0.33, so you are out on the first wick lol. and targets at 0.00 is clearly lazy template data
stop at 0.33 with price at 0.33 is basically a coin flip on the first candle lol. put it under the 0.31 shelf or dont bother
TRX up 13 percent on the year while BTC sits at -0.7 and it still only gets a HOLD with low conviction? alright then
‘@Mireille D. its the 0.73 vol ratio doing it, system reads that as nobody showing up. year to date means nothing to a trend follower, price under the 50d is the whole case
13 percent ytd while sitting in a 0.31 to 0.35 box the whole year is the quietest outperform in crypto. the trend system wants a runner, TRX pays in drips
TRX at 0.33 against a 0.44 high, RSI 42.5, OBV dumping. one golden cross wont fix distribution, the 50d is still overhead
vol ratio 0.73 is the ugly detail nobody mentions. bottoming can drag for months, waiting for price to reclaim the 50d first
this. nobody shows up at 0.33 with volume that dead. the reclaim has to come first, until then HOLD is generous
reclaim first is right. the 0.73 vol ratio on top means even the reclaim needs real volume behind it or its another fakeout at the 50d
the 0.73 vol ratio already answers the volume question. a reclaim on books this dead is just a stop hunt with extra steps
vol ratio 0.73 with a stop at your own entry price. the system is telling you it has no read and the plan formats that as HOLD
HOLD with low conviction is correct but the stop at 0.33 equal to entry makes the plan decorative. Either put it under the 0.31 shelf or admit this is a watch-only setup.
decorative is the word. either 0.30 under the shelf or no position, a stop at entry just donates the spread
RSI 42.5 and OBV rolling over, the chart is pure indecision. a low conviction HOLD is the only honest call on TRX right now
TRX in a 0.31 to 0.35 band since spring and people still want trend signals from it. the usdt settlement volume is the only thing keeping this chart honest
usdt settlement on tron is the quiet giant. the chart is a range but the chain moves more stablecoin volume than most l1s combined
RSI 42.5 and OBV rolling over while usdt settlement on tron keeps grinding higher. the chart and the chain disagree, which is usually when nothing happens for another quarter
stop at entry price with a low conviction HOLD is a spreadsheet filler. either watch only or put the stop under 0.31, the middle option helps nobody
