  1. a hold with a hard stop at 0.17 (-13.2%) is at least honest sizing. 15% allocation for ada looks right after seeing that -46.1% lump sum number

    1. -46.1% lump sum says everything. at 0.20 with a stop at 0.17 the 15% allocation is doing the heavy lifting, not the thesis

      1. the -46.1% lump sum is exactly why the 15% allocation exists. size for the drawdown you already saw, not the one you hope avoids repeating

  2. DCA with 12 buys beating lump sum by over 12 points in one year is the quiet takeaway here. Everybody thinks they will time it, the table says otherwise.

      1. 12 scheduled buys beating lump sum by over 12 points should be pinned at the top of every ada thread. people will still argue entry prices tho

        1. the 12 scheduled buys also beat lump sum on a window that included the 1.32 top, thats the convincing part. scheduling wins because it deletes the story we tell ourselves at 0.20

    1. 12 points in a year and every reply is still arguing the entry price. the table already told us nobody times ada, buy the schedule and stop staring at 0.20

      1. 12 points across 12 buys on a chart that went 1.32 to 0.20. the schedule won because it never had an opinion, that is the whole lesson of this table

  3. -85% from the 1.32 high and the system still says HOLD instead of just admitting the trend broke months ago. feels like cope with extra steps

    1. the system printed four straight losers on this token and the fifth signal is HOLD, thats the opposite of cope. its the model admitting it has no ada edge

    2. trend systems hold thru chop, thats how they avoid missing the eventual 0.26 breakout. calling it cope because the drawdown hurts is just vibes

    3. the last four ada trades printed as bad as -12.4 percent and the system still sized this at 15 percent with a stop at 0.17. thats not cope, its a model admitting where it has no edge, and the badge says stage 3 topping anyway

      1. a stop 13 percent down on an asset moving 6.6 a day is a coin flip on the exit too. the honest HOLD label is doing all the work here

  4. look at the backtest table tho, four straight losing trades on ADA, last one -12.4%. the HOLD call is the only honest thing here

    1. four straight losers and the fifth signal is HOLD, which is the system saying it has no edge on ada right now. that IS the signal

    2. four losers then HOLD is the system going flat, and thats fine. you pay trend systems for the option on the 0.26 break, this chop is just the premium

  5. cope or not, buying 0.20 with resistance all the way up at 0.26 is a rough r/r. id wait for the 0.17 support test too

    1. with a 6.6% daily ATR the 0.17 test can happen from anywhere in one candle. waiting for it and getting a 0.23 breakout instead is the classic ada move

      1. one 6.6% ATR candle either way and the entry debate is moot. the stop at 0.17 does the deciding, not the entry

        1. 13.2 percent to the stop with a 6.6 percent daily ATR means two bad candles and youre out. honestly the position size is the only edge here

    2. waiting for the 0.17 test assumes the test comes with a bounce. with 6.6% daily ATR it can slice straight thru to 0.15 and you chase instead

  6. from 1.32 to 0.20 and the argument is still about whether to hold. that 52w high on the badge has done more damage than any stop at 0.17

  7. a HOLD with the stop 13% below entry is the system admitting this one is a coin flip. respect the honesty, four straight losers told us already
