ADX of 9 on ASTER, this chart is completely dead flat. why would anyone deploy into that
because 0.68 support has already held multiple times. boring yes, but bottoming structures look exactly like this
0.68 holding on no volume is a stalemate, not a bottom. need one real volume print before calling it structure
stalemates end the moment funding flips. watch open interest build around 0.70, that is where the volume print comes from
oi around 0.70 is the tell, agreed. last open interest spike got absorbed in a day, it needs to actually hold for a week this time
stalemate is the right word. ADX 9 with price pinned between 0.68 and 0.77, the backtest HOLD is just system speak for dont bother yet
aster at 0.71 after peaking at 1.50, yeah im not touching a stage 1 bottoming chart with a ten foot pole
HOLD is generous. A perp DEX token down 52% needs to prove volume comes back before anyone buys the dip.
perp dex tokens are leveraged bets on trading volume and ASTER fees say the volume isnt coming back yet. 0.68 is just where sellers nap
Volume is the whole game for a perp DEX though. Fees track it directly. No volume comeback means no token comeback, the ADX 9 chart is just telling you early
and fee prints lag volume by weeks even when it comes back. either you front the OI build or you wait for confirmation and pay 0.90
paying 0.90 for confirmation on a token that already halved is donating to the early entries. fine with missing it
she is right though. the only bull case left is a volume comeback and the fee prints are still weak. 0.68 holding just means nobody is selling, not that anyone is buying
aster incentives bought the summer volume and fees died the second they stopped. the fee print turns green fast once rewards come back, its one knob
kwon_dae the incentives knob isnt free tho, restarting rewards means emissions dilute the same token the volume is supposed to save. its paying for fee revenue with your own market cap
right, dilution is the invoice. but hyperliquid proved real fee volume can replace rewards, aster just hasnt shown that print yet
hyperliquid printed real fees for two years before anyone believed it, aster is one month into no rewards. 0.68 holding without incentives is at least a start
the emissions point wins this thread. paying volume with emissions is renting liquidity, once rewards stop the fee prints go right back to weak
kwon the knob also takes months to matter, the last restart took like six weeks to show up in fees. nobody holding a -52% bag has that patience
restarting incentives to buy fee volume is paying for revenue with emissions, that knob costs market cap. until open interest builds around 0.70 without rewards this stays a stalemate
emissions math is right but incentives can bootstrap habit. the real test is whether the traders farming rewards keep routing through aster after they stop, exchange tokens have survived worse onboarding tricks
habit argument is fair, farmers who learned the UI might stay for fees. watch open interest the week rewards stop, that print settles the emissions debate
ADX of 9, price halved, fee prints weak. Deploying 12k into that is catching a knife with paperwork attached. I get the HOLD logic but the entry justification is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
knife with paperwork is a good line. ADX 9 with price pinned between 0.68 and 0.77 is a range nobody should pay to trade, HOLD is the free option here
fees died within days of rewards ending. if the habit argument was real the volume would have tapered slowly instead of cliffing
one month of no rewards is thin evidence either way. habitual traders taper, farmers cliff, the print so far looks like a cliff but the sample is short
