ATOM up 19.8 on the month while SOL did 52.8 and the signal is still BUY. laggard rotation play, brave but a real thesis
that is how late cycle rotations start though. the engine already rode ETH and SOL, ATOM is the trailing leg it catches on the way through
riding the trailing leg is how the ETH and SOL legs already paid. atom at 1.79 is the discount bin of the rotation
the laggard thesis is the whole trade though. ATOM at 1.79 vs a 10.64 high while SOL already did 52.8, you are buying the rotation nobody wants yet
laggard rotation is the trade until it isnt. last atom catch up leg did 4x in seven weeks off a base nobody loved either
buying the rotation nobody wants is also how you end up holding the bag nobody wants. SOL outperforming by 33 points usually means ATOM bleeds flatter, not that it catches up
19.8 on the month while SOL did 52.8 is exactly why the BUY reads late. if the 10k plan stages entries on a retest of the range low at least you are not paying for the rotation trade after everyone else already did
laggard rotation is exactly when you want the BUY signal, not after ATOM already caught up. buying strength in SOL is the crowded trade here
68 trades at a 26 percent win rate and the verdict is BUY. i know trend systems eat losses but that record is rough to read out loud
26 is normal for breakout systems, one winner pays for five losers. the -69.7 max drawdown is the part that actually hurts
-69.7 max drawdown on the backtest is the honest number here. sizing the 10k across tranches is the only sane way to hold through that kind of pain
exactly, a -69.7 backtest drawdown means live you are rebalancing at the worst possible moments. size the 10k like you expect that pain
26 percent win rate reads brutal until you remember the winners on ATOM rotations historically run 3 to 5x. one 2021 style leg and the whole equity curve forgives everything
win rate matters less than the R multiple on winners. if the avg winner is 3R that 26 percent still prints, but yeah -69.7 max drawdown is the tuition
26 percent is only rough if you read win rate as the score. avg winner on these rotations runs 3R plus, the equity curve is what matters
RSI 64 with ADX 31 is decent trend confirmation but the death cross flag sitting next to 9 bull factors feels like the system hedging itself. deployed small at 1.79 anyway
26 percent win rate and i still nibble, because one 2021 style leg pays for the whole boring stretch. just size the 10k like the -69.7 drawdown is real, because it is
26 percent win rate is fine when winners run 3R, thats the whole math. the -69.7 drawdown column is what should scare people
3R winners only print if you hold the full leg. most people take 1.5R out of fear and still eat the -69.7 drawdown, the math works on paper and nowhere else
exactly, the exits are the actual edge. everyone quotes the 3R average and then manually overrides it at 1.5R because one red day felt scary
death cross listed as the bear factor while price sits above the 50d and 200d, indicators disagreeing with themselves lol. 1.79 vs the 10.64 high is the actual story
indicators disagreeing with themselves is my favorite genre. price over both averages wins, the death cross is a lagging apology
ATOM at 1.79 with RSI 64 and ADX 31 is the cleanest confirmation this card has printed in a while. if the 10k plan stages under 1.85 im taking the first tranche
tranche one under 1.85 is sensible but the engine staged its last three entries way higher because momentum never pulled back. dont be shocked if this one runs you over too
68 trades, 26 percent wins, BUY at 1.79. i respect a system that publishes its ugly numbers, most signal sellers hide the drawdown column entirely
