backtest says +49.5% on the 50/200 crossover but the -28.7% max drawdown is doing some heavy lifting in that number. holding through that takes nerves most people dont have
-28% drawdown on trend following is normal tbh, thats literally the cost of not exiting at the exact bottom. 52k from 35k in 2y beats buy and hold on most alts
thats why it sizes 35k and not 350k. surviving the -28.7% stretch is the whole game with trend systems
exactly. that -28.7 percent stretch is why position size matters more than the signal itself. most people reading this will skip right past that line
the -28.7% max dd assumes full size the whole way down. anyone sane scales in under 800 and that number shrinks a lot
calling it Stage 2 uptrend while still 44% off the 1370 high is bold. RSI 60 and ADX 40.6 is a real trend tho, resistance at 806 is the actual test
44% down from the 1370 high and the system still prints BUY. i get trend following but thats a rough entry if the 50d fails
trend systems dont care where the high was. price above 50d and 200d with ADX at 40 is exactly when you want exposure, drawdown is a lagging stat
50d sits somewhere near 740, so risking from 766 down to there is maybe 3-4%. the entry math works even 44% off the high
rough entry from 766 down to the 50d near 740 is like 3% risk. you pay 3% to find out if the trend is real, fine trade
3 percent to find out if a trend is real on an exchange token is decent math. the ADX 40 part actually supports holding thru the chop
50d sitting somewhere near 740 with price at 766, the actual risk on this trade is small. people see 44 percent off the 1370 high and miss that the structure reset months ago
9 bull factors against 1 bear and vol ratio 1.36 on accumulation, thats about as clean a setup as Oliver is going to get. holding my bag from 600 anyway
806 has rejected how many tests now? if it finally goes with OBV climbing like this, 52k in two years is the boring outcome

traded bnb for years and the chart mattered maybe 40 percent of the time. the other 60 was binance headlines, one doj or sec line and the 806 thesis is moot
