death cross still printed on the chart and they call BUY at 8.74, bold. ADX 35.7 is real trend strength tho
the 50d at 7.27 and rising is the whole thesis here. 8.99 resistance is the real test, above that this looks different
43% win rate over 61 trades is exactly why the BUY works tho. trend systems only need a few big winners, the -7.6% backtest proves the losers stay small
61 trades is still a thin sample, one monster winner can flatter the whole curve. agreed on the logic tho, sized in small and adding over 8.99 only
BUY signal on something still down 78% from 39.92. contrarian in me loves it, the death cross part scares me
Look at the lump sum table though. DCA with 12 buys lost only 7.1% vs -34.1% lump. Thats the whole argument for scaling in slowly here
the death cross spooked me too until i checked when it printed. most of the drop from 39.92 was already done by then, its a rearview mirror signal
death cross is lagging by definition, it printed after most of the -78% already happened. by the time it flips back you are chasing, not entering
43% win rate over 61 trades and the backtest only lost 7.6%? that tells me the winners were way bigger than the losers. trend following in a nutshell
meanwhile lump sum bagholders from a year ago are down 34% and 12-buy DCA only -7.1%. timing matters more than people admit
4.72% ATR daily volatility is spicy. size accordingly or get shaken out at 7.09 support
7.09 support already got tested twice this week and held both times, thats my line not 8.99. agree on sizing tho, that ATR will shake out anyone running full position
8.99 resistance is doing all the heavy lifting in this thesis. below that 8.74 is just range middle, i want the breakout before calling an entry
