Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

8 of 10 blocks bullish with ADX at 43.5 is the least surprising signal ever. what id like to know is the invalidation level if 2124 breaks
the article literally never gives one, thats my gripe too. a 10k deployment plan with no invalidation level is just dca with confidence
answer to your invalidation question: daily close under 2124 and the next real bid sits around the 2533 zone. lose that and the 8/10 bullish count resets fast, 4953 becomes a memo
the 2533 bid zone is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that count. under 2124 id argue the whole stage 2 read was just a slow bleed with extra steps
2124 invalidation with entries laddered from 2533 means your risk is defined before the trade starts. most people arguing the call are just arguing position sizing tbh
BUY at 2722 when we are still 45% off the 4953 high and MACD is the one bearish flag they list? trend following is fine until you are the exit liquidity at 2805 resistance
exit liquidity at 2805 assumes you market buy the whole stack tho. laddering 2533 to 2805 is literally the fix for that fear
^ this is why the system is weighted 8 bull vs 2 bear tho. ADX at 43.5 says the trend is real, you dont fade that just because MACD is lagging
laddering 2533 to 2805 fixes the fear but 10k size on a 10k portfolio is the actual problem. nobody should run full deployment on one signal stack
The setup above the 200d at 2124 is hard to argue with, but I would want a daily close over 2805 before deploying the full 10k. Staggered entries closer to the 2533 area make more sense to me.
deploying 8/10 blocks bullish when the RSI is already 61 and price is sitting right under the 2805 wall takes some conviction. staggered is the move
staggered entries into a 2.03 volume ratio is the right read. that kind of OBV slope usually pushes through the 2805 wall before it breaks
and when it does push through 2805 the volume ratio will be the first thing everyone claims they saw coming. laddering entries still beats picking the exact wall
2.03 volume ratio this deep into a stage 2 read is the strongest input in the whole table and most people scroll right past it. still holding the last tranche for the 2805 close tho
hard agree with you not the full 10k at once. one 4h close above 2805 tho and ill finish the ladder same day
the 2805 wall getting defended twice while OBV keeps climbing is the textbook continuation setup. holding the last ladder tranche for a daily close above it, same as you
The 200d at 2124 held twice in September. As long as that stays intact I will keep averaging in, 2533 or not.
Same view here. The 200d held through two tests and MACD lagging a hot trend is normal, not a reversal signal.
45 percent off the 4953 high and the count still reads 8/10 bullish. either the model knows something about stage 2 trends or the drawdown tolerance here is wild
meanwhile SOL did +65.3% in 3 months against ETH at +45.7% and everyone still treats ETH like the safe pick. -9.4% on the year says otherwise lol
everyone dunking on -9.4% ytd forgets the 200d at 2124 held through two september tests. the yearly number is noise, the structural level is the signal
SOL at +65 while ETH prints +45 is barely a gap worth dunking on. wait for an ETH solo run before calling the rotation dead
sol outperforming during an eth treasury mania phase is the wilder stat honestly. 6M eth locked on the NYSE and the rotation still favored sol for a quarter
Flows chase beta, not narrative. The moment ETH prints a daily close over 2805 that SOL gap compresses fast, rotation trades unwind quicker than they opened.
the system calling BUY while listing MACD as the lone bear flag is just trend following being honest about its own lag. one daily close above 2805 and that flag flips too
the whole 10k thesis lives or dies on the 2124 line and nobody talks about the discipline part. conviction is free, honoring the invalidation is what costs money
