Down 33% on the year while BTC and ETH rally. KCS tracks the exchange, and that volume is not coming back.
^ kucoin orderbooks have been thin for a while, support at 6.41 holding is basically the only good news in this report
thin books cut both ways though. one decent volume quarter and kcs gaps straight through 7.97, the quarterly burn does the rest
thin books also mean the dump risk. same speed straight through 6.41 support if volume dries up again
6.41 has held every test since may tho. thin books cut both ways but the quarterly burn gives the downside a floor the fundamentals dont
floor held since may on record low volume tho. the burn gives a floor until an actual stampede tests it
the 6.41 floor and the thin book dump risk are the same point in opposite directions tbh. whoever is right, the burn keeps ticking every quarter
gaps need volume and korean retail never came back after the last kimchi premium faded. 7.97 resistance plus the 200d at 7.62 is a double ceiling
volume excuse only goes so far. kucoin still burns KCS every quarter, the 6.41 floor is doing more work than the exchange itself at this point
volume cycles though. one hot quarter in korea and the 7.97 resistance is gone before anyone re-rates the burn. 6.41 has held every test this year
volume follows volatility, one good quarter in crypto and kucoin books refill fast. 6.41 surviving this long on dead volume is the tell imo
atr of 3.7% a day on an exchange token and resistance all the way up at 7.97. heavy lifting for the bulls here
KCS at 7.19 while the 52w high sits at 16.23, and the verdict is still WAIT. tough crowd
DCA with 12 buys cut the loss to 23.9% vs 33% lump sum. on exchange tokens that spread actually matters
^ 12 buys turning a 33% loss into 23.9% is still a loss, just slower. that deployment schedule is patience bait for bagholders
51 trades and a 47% win rate is better than most of these backtests tbf. below the 200d at 7.62 is the real problem
47% win rate across 51 trades is honestly better than my discretionary record. agreed the 200d at 7.62 is the wall that matters
7.19 with resistance at 7.97 and an ATR near 3.7% a day. you are buying a lottery ticket on thin orderbooks imo
ATR of 3.7 percent cuts both ways, thats how it gapped to 16.23 last cycle. thin books gave you that high too
exactly, the 16.23 print itself was a thin book artifact. half the KCS drawdown this year is liquidity draining, not actual sellers
cutting 33 to 23.9 is the whole pitch of DCA, you still exit red on KCS. and with resistance parked up at 7.97 the lottery ticket just costs more per draw
7.19 against a 16.23 high and the burn keeps grinding supply every quarter. kcs is a patience tax at this point
the burn is the only bid that never sleeps on KCS. quarter after quarter supply shrinks while everyone stares at the volume chart instead
a HOLD verdict at 7.19 against a 16.23 high is generous. exchange tokens are volume calls and kucoin volume has trended down all year
47 percent win rate across 51 trades and the verdict is still WAIT. the system trusts kucoin volume less than i do and thats saying something
