  1. backtest says -5.5% over 2 years while buy and hold did +128%, and the takeaway is DEPLOY with high conviction? lmao the chart is literally arguing against itself

    1. 36% win rate across 33 trades and its still green lighting entries. trend following on a 4.5% ATR coin is just donating spread

      1. 36% win rate is normal for trend following, winners run 3-4x the losers. the backtest losing to buy and hold by 130 points is the actual red flag here

        1. the backtest window is mostly chop for OKB, two regime flips in there. buy and hold winning by 130 pts on one vertical year is survivor math

          1. this is the correct read. the 130 pt gap vs buy and hold is literally the premium for skipping that 55 percent drawdown, one way or the other you pay it

      2. 36% win rate is fine when losers get cut at 1R, trend systems live on the fat tail. the real issue is 33 trades, you cant estimate anything off that sample

        1. this. confidence intervals on 33 trades are so wide the win rate could be 25 or 50. trade the levels, ignore the stats

    2. to be fair the verdict buys pullbacks, its a trend system. that 130 pt gap is the price of not riding a 55 percent drawdown, you pay it one way or the other

  2. backtest underperforming buy and hold by 130 points and the verdict is still deploy. these reports are just vibes with a table attached

    1. trend systems underperform in chop and outperform in the one trend that matters. 33 trades is also nothing statistically, the backtest line is noise

  3. -55.5% off the 52w high and they still slap a BUY on it lmao. to be fair ADX 41.8 is a strong trend, just weird seeing high conviction this far below 257

  4. price 114.34 with resistance at 119.49, basically one good ATR day from rejection. entry quality says pullback so at least they arent chasing

    1. stop at 103.99 sits well above the 93.17 support, that part of the plan is actually sane. RSI 62 with ADX 41.8 is a decent regime, just size it small like they say

    2. 119.49 rejection is the obvious risk yeah, but a 114 pullback entry with the stop at 103.99 keeps the first tranche honest. size it small like the report says

  5. Tranching the 12k across entries instead of lump sum is the right call here. OBV rising with a 2.27 volume ratio is the detail that convinced me, accumulated my first OKB tranche today.

  6. the macd still being negative while 8 of 10 factors scream bull is the only thing keeping me on the sidelines rn. waiting for that crossover

    1. waiting for the macd cross means entering like 8 percent higher. lag indicator, by the time it flips the low risk entry is long gone

  7. stop at 103.99 with support down at 93 gives the trade room without being loose. OBV accumulation is the strongest signal on the whole page

  8. Backtest at -5.5% while the coin fell over half from 257 is actually decent defense, not a red flag. The BUY reads the trend now, not the last two years of chop.

  9. okb is basically a bet on the okx platform, token lives or dies with exchange volume. 2.27 volume ratio is nice but id want the burn schedule next to it

    1. if okx keeps buying back with fee revenue the 12k deployment plan writes itself, my only worry is the whole thing unwinds if spot volume dries up in a boring october

    2. burn schedule is the missing column on every okb report. volume ratio 2.27 means nothing if buybacks are discretionary

      1. buybacks being discretionary is the whole risk. one quiet quarter at okx and that 2.27 volume ratio stops mattering. levels still fine tho

  10. resistance at 119.49 held the july leg so the retest thesis at 114 is fair. the 103.99 stop is doing more work than the whole rating imo

    1. 103.99 stop with a 4.5 pct ATR means like two days of noise before youre out tho. id sit it closer to 99 and size down instead
