49 trades, 45% win rate, -18.9%. the backtest is basically screaming that trend systems get chopped to bits in a 0.15 to 0.22 range. WAIT is the right call
the DCA table kinda proves your point. 12 buys did -10% vs -21.8% lump sum. the edge here is patience, not timing
the dca table vs your 49 backtested trades is the whole article in two numbers. patience wins the 0.15 to 0.22 grind, not the engine
the june 21st buy at 0.21 into a june 22nd sell at 0.20 is the trade log in miniature. nothing in that range rewards entry timing, only the 12-buy DCA keeps you alive
the DCA math only works if your hands dont shake at buy number nine either. most people quit the ladder at -8% and call the strategy broken
45 percent win rate in that chop is honestly better than anything i managed manually in the 0.15 to 0.22 range. fees would have finished me off anyway
0.18 after a 0.63 high is brutal. holding my bag but not adding a single lumen until that death cross actually resolves
down 71% and still above the 200d though. that is the one thing keeping me from dumping on this analysis
death crosses on xlm take months to resolve, ask anyone who sat through 2019. stage 1 bottoming with RSI at 51 just means sideways chop, your patience basically is the strategy now
xlm down 71% from 0.63 while eth did +42% in 3 months. at some point you accept this thing needs a real catalyst, no MA crossover fixes that
death cross with RSI at 51 is such a nothing signal lol. i do like the 0.16 stop right above the 0.15 support. also target 1 showing 0.00 looks like a bug in the engine
lol spotted the 0.00 target too. engine clearly has no setup it likes anywhere under 0.15, which is its own kind of signal
the 0.00 target felt like the engine giving up halfway. still a cleaner verdict than most human analysts would give a 71 percent drawdown
the engine looked at a 71 percent drawdown and output zero lol. honestly the most relatable analyst take this year
zero is at least consistent with the stop tho. 0.16 stop, 0.00 target, the engine is basically shorting its own HOLD lmao
same read on the 0.00 target, engine refuses to invent a target below entry. thats the one honest thing in quant land right now
the 0.00 target isnt a bug imo, its the engine saying no setup below 0.15 pays. which after a 71 percent drawdown is fair
the eth comparison is what stings. money just left this chain for things with actual fee revenue
RSI at 51 while the 50d is falling, that mix never ends well. WAIT is the right call here imo
@Marek the 3 bull vs 5 bear split tells you everything. why would anyone deploy into stage 1 bottoming lol
5 bear vs 3 bull with RSI dead center at 51 is the engine shrugging too. no edge either direction in the 0.15 to 0.22 chop, just fees leaking
the dca table is the only part of these analysis posts i actually trust. everything else is chart astrology draped over a 0.15 to 0.22 range
The DCA table is the only honest part. 12 buys at -10% versus -21.8% lump sum is the one actionable line for anyone still holding lumens under 0.20.
still holding lumens from the 0.5 days. bug or not, that 0.00 target matches my mood about this chart better than any price level does
ADX at 23.7 backing up the no-edge read. i ran similar MA crossovers on xlm in 2025 and the june to september trade log here is exactly how it goes, death by a thousand small stops
0.21 entry into a 0.20 exit is the whole xlm experience compressed into one trade. patience tax since 2021 and the meter is still running
