Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

6.72 has held like three times this quarter. death cross crowd gonna be chasing this at 9 bucks
three holds this quarter and people still waiting for 6.40 lol. the retest crowd becomes the chase crowd at 9, every time
kcs at 7.64, still 53% below the 16.23 high, and the only real bear flag is a death cross? ill take that trade
Also worth remembering KuCoin keeps buying KCS back with exchange revenue, so the supply side works in your favor while you wait.
the death cross thing is overdone, price is already above both the 50d and the 200d. lagging indicator anyway
53% off the high with a real buyback behind it, yeah ill take that over another fresh listing. 6.72 is the line tho, lose that and the thesis is dead
The ADX reading of 35.6 is what convinces me here. That is a genuinely strong trend, and support at 6.72 sits only 12% below the current price.
Fair point on ADX, but a 52% drawdown from the high means the market has punished this token hard already. I would size the 12k deployment smaller than the system suggests.
smallest size right when ADX hits 35.6 is backwards imo. strong trends are exactly when you want full exposure
adx is lagging by construction tho. by the time it prints 35 the first leg is usually done, half now half on the 6.72 retest is fair
Half now, half at 6.72 has been the correct play on KCS for three quarters straight. People keep paying the impatience tax instead.
Agreed, the system sizes on signal strength while ignoring the 52% drawdown history. Scaling in smaller is just honest risk math.
kcs is a leveraged bet on kucoin keeping volume share against binance and bybit. the buyback story only works while volumes hold
the exchange token thesis only pays if kucoin keeps listing velocity. volumes bleed to binance and the buyback becomes pocket change
listing velocity is the wrong metric imo, kucoin survives on the long tail of pairs binance wont touch. that niche prints during altseason and the buyback follows volume
long tail pairs point is underrated, thats where kucoin volume actually lives. altseason confirms and kcs is the beta play on it
vensim made this point better in the thread below, kucoin lives on the long tail pairs binance wont list. listing velocity is a binance metric applied to the wrong exchange
7.64 with 16.23 as the high and buybacks running weekly, the asymmetry is fine. just dont deploy the full 12k before the 6.72 test, keep dry powder
ADX 35.6 with price above both the 50d and 200d is about as clean as this setup gets. The death cross worry already aged badly.
