the fun part of every ETC analysis is that the bull case is literally just it being the un-forked chain. no roadmap, no growth story, just a 2016 argument on repeat
7.41 with staggered tranches on an 81% drawdown, weirdly the most rational thing ive read today. the entry math on these HOLD pieces is lowkey the only reason i open them
ETC at 7.41 when the 52w high is 39.92? thats an 81% drawdown and they still call it HOLD lol. brave
calling a HOLD on something down 80% from the high is basically just admitting youre bag holding with extra steps
bag holding with extra steps lol fair. but etc survived three 51% attacks and still mines blocks. zombie chains dont die they just bleed
survived the attacks sure, but survival is a low bar. the question is whether anyone is actually building on ETC in 2026 or just mining it because the hardware has nothing better to do
the 10k deployment plan is the only interesting part here. staggered entries actually make sense on an asset this far down, worst case you average into a dead chain tho
Dead chain is a stretch. Hashrate recovered after the 2020 attacks and the ecosystem kept building regardless of price. Averaging in down here is still a gamble, just an informed one.
informed gamble is generous when the entire thesis is that a chain nobody uses still has hashpower. i hold a small bag out of nostalgia, not because of any tranche math
ETC keeps surviving every cycle purely on brand loyalty to the original chain. Respect the stubbornness, wouldnt put 10k on it personally.
