    1. Marek, RSI 67 with a rising 50d is how every stage 2 move starts, not how it ends. resistance at 8.30 is only 4% away though, so the entry timing here is fair to question

        1. lost less is the whole pitch of trend following on alts tho. the uglier number is 39% win rate over 57 trades, thats churn not signal

      1. Fair on the entry timing. But 57 trades at a 39% win rate over 2 years tells you the crossover system was churned to death on this one, fees probably ate half the alpha

        1. 57 trades at 39% wins and the verdict is still just HOLD. the system spent two years learning that chop exists and charged five figures for the lesson

          1. 39 percent win rate is normal for breakout systems when winners run 3 to 4x the losers. the uglier stat is still 46.7 percent strategy drawdown vs 63.9 for buy and hold

          2. 39% win rate with 3-4x winners is textbook trend following tho, thats the deal you sign up for. the part that gets me is 57 trades in 2 years, barely 2 a month and still -46.7%

          3. two years of churn to learn chop exists is harsh but honest. still, ADX 35 off the 5.69 base says the regime changed, backtest era avax and current avax are different animals

        2. fees on 57 round trips probably ate five figures of the strategy capital by themselves. trend systems need a volatility filter before they touch something this choppy

          1. did the math on 57 fills, the fees sting but its the 46.7 percent strategy drawdown that actually ended the year. the vig is a footnote next to that

    2. HOLD with low conviction off the 5.69 base isnt cope, its patience. but i agree the 200d at 8.05 is the level that settles this argument

  1. price above the 50d at 6.85 with OBV climbing and ADX 35, that is a real trend forming off the 5.69 low. the 200d at 8.05 is the line to watch

    1. the 200d at 8.05 being the line to watch and then resistance at 8.30 right above it, thats a stacked ceiling. needs real volume to clear both

    2. the 200d test after this kind of V is usually where the first real volume shows up. if AVAX clears 8.05 and 8.30 back to back the ski jump finally gets a lift chair

      1. first weekly close above the 200d since the 55.70 top would also be the first higher high on the weekly in over a year. rare to see trend and structure line up on avax

        1. weekly higher high after an 85 percent drawdown is where the real money shows up. everyone stares at 8.05, the 8.30 clear is the actual confirmation

          1. ^ the 8.30 clear matters but volume comes first. last three 200d taps on avax faded before the candle even closed

  2. 55.70 to under 8 bucks and the 52w chart still looks like a ski jump. first real momentum read since the top tho, RSI 67 off the low is something

    1. lmao you lost less is the best possible summary of trend following on an -85% alt. still beating buy and hold i guess, silver linings

  3. 8.05 and 8.30 back to back is the whole trade. first weekly close above the 200d since the 55.70 top and this becomes a different conversation entirely

  4. ADX 35 with OBV climbing is the only reason im not dunking on a HOLD call here. 7.95 sitting under an 8.05 200d is either a gift entry or a trap, no in between

    1. first weekly close above the 200d in over a year settles the gift-or-trap debate. rather pay 8.30 for confirmation than hope at 7.95

  5. ADX 35 off a 5.69 base after an 85 percent drawdown is a regime change signature, not noise. HOLD is correct until 8.05 holds an actual weekly close
