Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

trend is BUY but RSI is sitting at 78.9? good luck to everyone deploying at 770 right against resistance at 770.32
Fair point on the RSI, but ADX at 48.5 says the trend has real strength behind it. I staged my buys between the 50d MA at 626 and support at 585 instead of chasing.
The 626 zone makes sense but ADX this hot rarely lets price come back to the 50d. half now, half at your level is the compromise imo
RSI 78.9 means nothing when ADX is 48.5, strong trends keep RSI pinned overbought for weeks. bnb did exactly that in early 2024, anyone who waited for a reset just watched it leave
early 2024 bnb comparison holds until it doesnt, ADX rolled over within weeks of hitting that zone back then too. staged entries exist for exactly this scenario
the early 2024 comparison checks out, rsi rode above 75 for a month straight. learned that lesson then, not front running a reset that may never come
early 2024 worked until the ADX rolled over and the 50d came calling anyway. 626 fills eventually, the real question is whether youll still want it when it does
early 2024 rsi rode above 75 for a month straight and i shorted it the whole way up. not repeating that mistake at 770 with ADX at 48.5
shorting rsi 75 back in 2024 and owning it, respect. im just running the staged 626 entries until the break above 770 actually confirms
rsi pinned above 75 for a month straight, lived through it, watched three reset short theses get run over. ADX 48.5 with 18 cents to resistance is hold your nose territory
RSI 78.9 with price pinned 18 cents under resistance is exactly the setup that gaps. i split mine, half at 770 half waiting at 626, both outcomes are fine
price 770.50 against resistance at 770.32, its literally pressing on the door. either it breaks and runs or you get the rejection back toward 626, no in between
price 770.50 against resistance at 770.32, thats 18 cents of separation. calling that pressing on the door is generous, its standing on the doorstep
18 cents of separation means nothing on an asset printing 1.47x breakout vol. that door gets kicked in or slammed shut within days
1.47x vol resolves fast in both directions though. 68 trades at 50% win rate means the system lives or dies on the death cross exit, the entry barely matters
overbought complaints at 770 when the 52w high is 1370 are wild. ADX 48.5 with a clean band breakout, the trend is the trade
up 34% while btc did 26% and still 10% under the 858 high from a year ago. ill take that risk/reward
34 vs 26 against btc with ADX 48 is nice until you remember the 52w high is 858 and this same setup printed BUY up there too. taking partials into strength beats praying the band holds
34% in a month with vol 1.47x on the breakout day is exactly when the pullback eats everyone. staged orders at 726 sound boring till they fill
726 gang checking in. if ADX stays above 40 those staged orders probably never fill and i watch another leg up without me. thats the tradeoff nobody mentions
the 726 tradeoff is real but missing a leg hurts for a week, catching 770.50 rejecting into 626 hurts for a year. staged orders are cheap insurance
68 trades, 50% win rate and the strategy still beat buy and hold by 25 points. the edge is exiting on the death cross, not nailing the entry
price 770.50 against resistance at 770.32, that resolves within days not weeks. staged entries at 626 are the plan until the break actually prints
50 percent win rate means the death cross exit carries the entire system. the 18 cent gap to resistance settles it by friday anyway
43.8 percent drawdown and the system still prints high conviction BUY. exactly why i run these signals with a stop alongside, never instead of one
