A -30.1% backtest on the strategy and -56.5% buy and hold over two years tells you most of what you need to know about holding FLR here. The 6 bull factors look nice until you see the price is still below the 200d. I sat through an 81% drawdown once. Not doing it again.
the DCA table is the one useful row in this whole thing. 12 buys cut the loss to -19.9% versus -32.3% for lump sum, so if you insist on a FLR bag at least drip in instead of blasting 3k at once
dca into something -81% from the 0.04 high is just averaging down with extra steps imo
averaging down only kills you when the thesis dies. flare still settles real flare-drops volume, question is whether that merits any bag below the 200d at all. I cap mine way under the 12k plan.
the DCA table math holds until flare-drops volume dries up and whatever floor is under 0.01 goes with it. 12 buys cutting it to -19.9% is just a slower bleed if the demand side never shows up
fair, but flare-drops volume drying up is already priced into a 0.01 tag. the question is whether the FIP cuts change the flow, and nothing in this table even tries to model that
the FIP modeling gap is real but you can direction check it off the flare-drops ledger alone. flow changes print there weeks before any moving average catches on
the ledger read works until an FIP reshapes the flow halfway through your DCA window. been watching flare-drops since the 0.03 days and the volume cliff after every claim window is brutal, the moving averages at least average that out
the 200d is the whole trade for me too. below it every DCA row is just donating to sellers, above it the -19.9% math actually means something
an 81% drawdown story and still holding a 12k tranche, respect. im just dca-ing the flare-drops into eth at this point, FLR is a faucet not a position
the faucet framing is the cleanest take on FLR in this whole thread. drop claims are income, the eth side is the actual bet
faucet not position is the cleanest summary of FLR ive read. claim, swap to eth, repeat. the 12k deployment plan angle on this one was always optimistic
faucet framing won the thread. 0.01 with a 4x hole to climb means new capital needs FAssets to actually ship, claims just maintain the bag
hold is generous for something at -56.5% buy and hold over two years. the -30.1% strategy backtest at least kept the damage to half of holding, but the slide from 0.04 to 0.01 says demand is the problem, not sentiment.
-56.5% buy and hold while flare-drops claimable volume keeps shrinking, demand is the problem exactly. the FIP.41 vote turnout was the last thing that got holders moving
turnout was barely double digits of circulating supply. flare-drops engagement dies the second the price does, same pattern every single vote
double digit turnout being the high water mark of engagement explains the low conviction dial. nobody votes on a token they treat as a faucet
HOLD with low conviction feels right. 6 bull factors and the chart still says 0.01, the FAssets rollout is the only catalyst on the calendar worth waiting for
FAssets is the one catalyst worth the wait, but the rollout has slipped before. i treat it as the bonus leg, not the reason to park 12k
slipped twice actually. FAssets was supposed to ship q1 and we are sitting here in october still calling it the catalyst. bonus leg is generous, its vaporware until a mainnet date sticks
q1 to october is the whole flare story. hold with a quarter tranche is the only sane sizing until a mainnet date actually sticks
the q1 slip is also why the conviction dial reads low. you cant compound a catalyst that keeps moving on the calendar
six bull factors and the conviction dial still reads low, thats the honest part of this table. FIPs change flow slower than anyone prices in. i bought a quarter tranche under the 200d and im in zero rush
price 0.01 with a 52w high of 0.04 tells the whole story. even a perfect FAssets launch is climbing out of a 4x hole. hold rating is generous phrasing
4x hole is right. even a clean FAssets launch spends months playing catchup before the chart cares.
FIP.41 turnout being the last engagement spike says everything. most FLR holders are farming drops, not pricing in catalysts
farming drops is the only rational FLR strategy at 0.01. the claim volume pays for the bag you already hold, adding new capital here needs a catalyst that actually ships
