A stablecoin flagged as Stage 3 Topping is a strange read. Price pinned at 1.00 with support and resistance both at 1.00, so the system is really punishing the OBV drift and vol ratio of 0.82. Hard to sell something that barely moves.
Agreed, the 17.7% drawdown to the 0.90 low is the only real wick on the chart. ADX 37.5 on a coin that moves 0.1% a day feels like micro noise being read as a strong trend.
the vol ratio 0.82 getting punished is the funniest part. its a stablecoin doing stablecoin things and the model calls it topping lmao
same reaction lol, a peg flagged topping because OBV drifted. though the 0.90 wick during the april stress was not nothing
that 0.90 wick was nastier than most algo stables managed all year, fair. but one april print holding a grudge in october means flag the april risk, dont call it a fresh top
right, the same model would flag tbills as topping. park the 12k in the savings rate and move on, a SELL banner on a healthy peg is noise
punishing a vol ratio of 0.82 on a peg is grading homework that was never assigned lol. if gho moved 3 percent a day the same factors would scream risk off
this. the model grading a peg on trend factors is a category error, stablecoins need their own rulebook entirely
category error is exactly right. running MACD and ADX on a pegged token produces a very confident essay about nothing
macd on a token pinned in a 10bp band is astrology with a chart attached. the only real gho question is facilitator yield versus savings rates elsewhere
punishing OBV drift on a token pinned at 1.00 is the system confusing stability for weakness. the 0.82 vol ratio means GHO did its job and stayed boring. Stage 3 Topping is a misfire here
2 bull vs 6 bear factors, yet the golden cross and rising 50d are literally what a healthy peg looks like. I would treat this SELL signal as a pass and park the 12,000 elsewhere, not a short.
Exactly Petra. The backtest case for redeploying makes sense though, BTC up 31.9% and ETH up 34.4% over 3 months while GHO sat flat at 1.00. Opportunity cost is the real argument here.
RSI at 43.3 below both the 50d and 200d means the model sees depeg risk the market is not pricing. I remember the dip to 0.90, so a SELL flag is fair warning even for a stablecoin.
remembering usdc april 2023 makes the 0.90 dip feel scarier than it was. depeg tail risk is real but RSI 43.3 on a peg is noise reading
rsi 43 on a dollar is the model describing water as wet. the 0.90 wick mattered for one day, everything since is a peg doing peg things
fair, but that 0.90 wick was usdc april 2023 stress, gho held its peg through that same week. treating borrowed history as a warning sign is a stretch
the 0.90 wick lasted hours on one venue during april stress and got bought back same day. calling that depeg warning is like calling one sneeze a flu season
12k parked at 1.00 while ETH did 34.4% in 3 months, the SELL is just opportunity cost math honestly. any yield on GHO beats nothing though
exactly. the SELL is basically park the 12k in a yield farm instead, fine. but the writeup reads like GHO is about to collapse
thats hindsight talking tho. parking 12k in a stable only looks wrong after the 34% rally happens. same model in a flat quarter and the SELL looks smart
opportunity cost framing is the only defensible read here. though 12k in the savings rate quietly outperformed the SELL recommendation lol
the savings rate outperforming a SELL call is the best irony here. model says dump the peg, the peg pays facilitator yield, holders just quietly collect
2 bull vs 6 bear and the bulls are a golden cross and a rising 50d, which on a stablecoin are just long words for pegged. this model needs a stablecoin bypass flag
a stablecoin bypass flag is the actual fix. until then every peg gets a topping banner and every signal is noise with a confidence score
gho held 1.00 through the april stress week while usdc wobbled, thats the actual datapoint. the SELL reads like a macro template applied to a dollar
the april week is the whole argument. usdc dipped, gho didnt, and the model still prints SELL because rsi reads 43 on a dollar
GHO has the facilitator yield so the actual sell case is redeploy into risk. saying that plainly beats hanging a Stage 3 Topping banner on a coin pinned at 1.00
grading GHO on RSI is like mileage-testing a parked car. the facilitators kept earning through the exact window the model flagged as topping
