  1. backtest did +69.8% but plain buy and hold did +233% and the verdict is still HOLD with low conviction? the system is basically fighting a chart that tripled lol

    1. thats the whole tradeoff though, trend following eats smaller gains to dodge that -37.5% max drawdown. 47% win rate across 49 trades is mid but it is what it is

      1. fair point on the drawdown dodge, but eating -37.5% on paper before the cross fires is exactly why i never run these systems on small alts. 12k account would be 4.5k down at the worst point

      2. the -37.5% drawdown dodge is why. +233% hold sounds nice til you remember most people panic sell halfway through it anyway

        1. exactly, the backtest assumes you sat through a 37 percent drawdown with zero emotion. no human reading this site is doing that

    2. The system exists to dodge that 37.5 percent drawdown though. Comparing the backtest to buy and hold ignores that most holders tapped out halfway through the bleed anyway.

    3. 69.8 backtest vs 233 buy and hold is brutal but kind of the point, the template exists so you dont roundtrip a 3x into nothing on a coin with zero narrative holding it together

  2. Target 1: 0.00 (-100.0%) and Target 2 also 0.00. the template clearly broke on this one, kinda funny it still shipped

    1. also stop loss at 0.10 when price is already 0.10, so instant stop? generator vibes. the RSI 48.6 and ADX 18 read is at least honest about there being no edge here

      1. RSI 48.6 with ADX at 18 is textbook no trend, so HOLD is the only honest call here. and yeah the 0.00 targets are embarrassing, someone shipped the template raw

        1. RSI 48.6 and ADX 18 is the definition of chop, so fair on no edge. but stage 1 bottoming on a token that did +163% ytd usually resolves fast, i would rather be stopped at 0.10 once than sit out the breakout entirely

        2. HOLD with no edge is at least honest, but stage 1 bottoming plus 8.5 percent under the high usually means the cross fires late and you chase. small starter beats waiting imo

          1. small starter is the only tradable read here. with the stop sitting at 0.10 any size just donates the spread

    2. the 0.00 targets are the template dividing by something near zero at 0.10. the usable line is the stop at 0.10 with -7.5%, rest is cosmetic breakage

    3. funny til you realize the same template prices the stop for every coin in the series. JST sitting right at 0.10 means the stop and the price are the same number, the generator never checked for that case

      1. the template using price as stop is a division guard bug, shipped straight to prod lol. someone at the analysis desk is getting a fun standup morning

      2. huh, youre right, stop at 0.10 with price at 0.10 means you exit on the first red candle. the template needed a sanity check for that case

        1. price as the stop on a 0.10 coin is a classic division guard miss lol. hilarious it shipped to prod, tho the RSI 48.6 ADX 18 no edge read was at least honest

  3. +163% on the year while sitting 8.5% under the 52w high and the verdict is WAIT with LOW conviction. stage 1 bottoming pays the patient ones, i’d rather be early here than chase POL-style knives

  4. 163 percent on the year with zero narrative and the verdict is still WAIT. Meanwhile trend templates keep chasing coins that already moved. Boring wins quietly, nobody writes headlines about it.

  5. the system did +69.8% while holding did +233% and the call is still HOLD. i get trend following dodges the -37.5% drawdown but you pay for that insurance in years like this one, JST just trended too well for the model

  6. a HOLD on something 163 percent ytd with zero narrative is the strongest argument for boring coins all month. still not buying the stage 1 bottoming talk tho

  7. +163% on the year and it still lost to ETH and SOL over every window shorter than 6 months. watching 0.09, if that goes im not catching the bottoming stage knife

  8. JST is one of the few tokens where holding boring actually paid. 163 percent ytd with zero narrative, the model just was not built for a chart like this
