Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

buy signal with MACD still red, 7 bull factors vs 1 bear, high conviction lol. trend systems really dont care about divergences huh
^ macd red while price rides above both MAs is literally what strong trends look like. and rsi 50.8 has room before its overheated
rsi at 50.8 with obv climbing, this is the boring middle of the move where you actually want to buy. 0.37 resistance is the real test though
^ accumulation read is right. vol ratio 1.22 and still 27% off the high, plenty of room if that 0.22 support holds
The 46.5% backtest looks nice, but June had two losing sells in a row at -2.2% and -6.5%. Fine if you can stomach the drawdowns, painful if you can’t.
two losing sells in a row in june is the actual cost of the 46 percent, nobody shows that drawdown slice in the headline number
-2.2 and -6.5 back to back and the year still printed 46.5. two losers in a row is just rent for trend systems
rent is one thing, eating the june -6.5 while fully deployed is another. trend systems need size discipline more than they need signals
the june -6.5 sell is the tax nobody quotes next to the 46.5 headline. you eat those months without flinching or the system breaks you first
high conviction call with MACD rolling over, sure. i like jup long term but id rather wait for the 50d retest near 0.28 before putting 10k in
if it retests 0.28 the 0.22 support thesis is already broken though. you cant have both alerts as the plan
27% drawdown off the 0.44 high and its still a buy. respect the system but im setting alerts at 0.22 support instead of apeing here
alerts at 0.22 only work if the wick actually gets there. the 46.5 backtest bought before confirmations, waiting for perfect entries turns it into a different system
dca beating lump sum by 10 points over a year tells you the drawdowns were buyable. atr of 4.6% a day though, size accordingly lol
10 points is nice until you remember dca means deploying through the june -6.5% sell too. lump sum crowd never shows that part of the chart
jup at 0.32 with the whole thread arguing entry timing lol. backtest says buy, the comments say wait, ill split the difference and half-size it
splitting the difference is just dca with extra steps, but yeah 0.22 support is the level that decides this whole plan
half sizing because of one bear factor on a 7 to 1 bull board is just fear with a spreadsheet. either you trust the vol ratio read or you dont deploy
or its position sizing doing exactly what its for. one bear factor so you halve it, thats not fear, thats risk management on a 4.6 percent atr coin
fair point on sizing discipline, but 0.37 wasnt some black swan, it was the obvious wall. entering at 0.32 with macd still red is a choice
0.37 as the wall is fair chart memory from the march rejection. but entering at 0.32 into a level that rejected twice needs a volume condition attached
half sizing on 7 to 1 with red macd is respecting the lone bear factor, not fear. the spreadsheet works until the one bear factor is the one that pays
Everyone argues entry levels and nobody mentions 0.37 resistance sitting 15 percent away with MACD still red. The 46.5 backtest never entered on a red MACD, check the table.
high conviction buy with only 1 bear factor flagged while MACD is red. half size it like the thread says and sleep fine
half sizing a 10k plan means 5k of conviction lol. alerts at 0.22 make more sense than deploying above the 50d
10k into a token still 27 percent off its high because a vol ratio said so. solana dex volume is the real thesis, jup is just the toll booth on it
JUP at 0.32 with fee revenue still climbing is the quiet compounding trade on solana. no narrative needed when the aggregator prints
