kcs at 7.38, down 54.5% from 16.23, and the verdict is WAIT. at least they are not pretending this is a dip buy opportunity
stage 3 topping label on something that already bled half its value feels a bit late no? damage is done by the time these stages get assigned
@cryptoirony_ fair, though 7.38 with the 200d at 7.46 is basically coiled against the ceiling. a weekly close above that changes the whole WAIT argument
WAIT isnt cowardice here, support at 6.72 is barely 9% below spot while the 200d at 7.46 caps you. bad math to force a long into that
9 percent cushion to support with the 200d overhead is a coinflip with no payoff. WAIT is just honest math here
16.23 to 7.38 and it still counts as topping lol it topped ages ago
the backtest trade log is the only section worth reading here. the rest is window dressing for a hold call
@chartmold the stage labels track the MA structure not the drawdown, 50d slope was still up. still agree the actionable window closed months ago
@chartmold lol exactly. stage labels on a 54 percent drawdown is closing the barn door after the horses left. still handy for entry timing tho
stage 3 topping on a coin that already bled 54 percent is the system catching up to what holders lived a year ago lol. still better than calling it a dip buy
obv up, adx 33, and still a WAIT label. the system basically admits the trend is real but doesnt trust it after a 54 percent bleed lol
the gap everyone keeps missing is KCS burns depend on exchange volume and kucoin share keeps sliding. WAIT is fine but the thesis needs more than MA levels
@buybook_ kucoin share sliding is the whole bear case nobody prices. token burns on volume that shrinks quarterly is a melting ice cube with a chart attached
melting ice cube framing is right. kucoin fee revenue drives the burns and the share keeps leaking to bybit and hyperliquid. WAIT is really a watch on the share chart
burn math is brutal but kucoin share slid through every cycle before and KCS still did a 4x off the 2023 lows. volume share and token price stopped correlating years ago
the 4x off 2023 lows needed a fee share that was still growing though. burns on volume that shrinks quarter over quarter is a different animal
melting fee share makes every burn a smaller candle on a bigger cake. KCS needs the share bleed to stop before the ice cube math changes
Correct call marking KCS as Stage 3 topping. Price above the 50d but still under the 200d at 7.46 while resistance sits at 7.48. That is a coin with no edge until it breaks one way.
The backtest losing 4.4% over 2 years with a 43% win rate tells the whole story. 63 trades and you end up behind. Not touching this until it reclaims the 200d.
kcsbagholder the lump sum number is the brutal one, down 35% in a year. Even 12-buy DCA only got it to -17.9%. Exchange tokens really paid the price this cycle.
minus 35 lump sum versus minus 17.9 dca is the strongest ad for staged entries ive seen on one of these. the 63 trade backtest is the second
minus 17.9 percent on a dca being the brag tells you everything about holding KCS through 2026 lmao
63 trades to finish down 4.4% is the quietest way of saying the edge doesnt exist. respect for publishing the ugly backtest instead of hiding behind a price target
SOL did 62% in three months, BTC 30%, and KCS squeaked out 11.6. Holding exchange tokens this cycle has been a donation to everyone else in the table.
63 trades, 43 percent win rate, still negative. appreciate publishing the ugly backtest but thats a WAIT with extra homework attached
KCS at 11.6 percent for the year while SOL did 62 is the exchange token curse in one row. fee burns cannot outrun share bleed, HOLD feels generous
