Trend-following methodology: 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter + ADX regime gate

adx 45.8 on LINK is the part everyone sleeps on. strong trends tend to keep going, 13.64 resistance is the only real obstacle left
Been accumulating since the $9.50 zone so the golden cross just confirmed what the chart was already telling me. And honestly, -60.5% from the 30.81 high is the whole reason late buyers finally have a decent entry.
idk about deploying into an alt that still trades 60% under its high while macd is negative. that 10.38 support is doing a LOT of heavy lifting in this buy call
The 50d sits at 10.45, basically right on top of that support. Stop under 10.38 and the risk into 13.64 is reasonable. RSI 58.9 leaves room before it gets stretched.
macd negative but golden cross confirmed, the indicators are literally fighting each other. adx 45.8 is the tiebreaker if you trust trend strength over crossovers
50d at 10.45 stacked right under it though. less a random level, more the market arguing about the mean
10.45 mean sitting right on the 10.38 stop is either a great invalidation or a crowded one. trim before the tag if youre nervous
the mean sitting right on the stop is the market telling you where the trade dies. trimming before the tag is the only adult move here
63 trades and a 44% win rate just to beat buy and hold by… nothing. +0.9% vs +8.1% holding. the system is the exit liquidity here lol
that +0.9% vs +8.1% comparison is ending trading careers in this comment section lol. dca gang takes this one comfortably
0.9 percent edge over holding is basically a rounding error after fees. the DCA table quietly wins again
63 trades of screen time to match a bot doing nothing is still entertainment for some people. the DCA table quietly ends the argument
44% win rate with 1:2 risk reward still prints, that is the part the +0.9% crowd skips. but yeah dca wins the pissing contest
1:2 only prints if the mean tag doesnt slip into the stop first. 10.38 sitting right under the 50d at 10.45 means one wick ends the whole argument
One wick ends it, ADX 45.8 says trend while MACD still prints negative. Half size into the mean tag is the only position that survives both readings
adx 45.8 with macd still negative is exactly why split entries make sense. half at market, half at the 10.45 tag, stop parked under 10.38
the +0.9 vs +8.1 comparison is brutal but honest. 63 trades of cortisol to match a dca bot, the dca table wins and the screen time doesnt come back
63 trades to manage risks the bot cant even see though. unlock schedules and hack exposure never show up in a dca backtest table
0.9 vs 8.1 ignores that the bot cant exit before a hack or an unlock schedule. different tools, the cortisol at least buys optionality
63 trades to print +0.9 while the bot naps its way to +8.1, and the stop sits at 10.38 right under the 10.45 mean. taking the trim and the nap
The DCA table is the real takeaway. 12 buys returned +12% while lump sum a year ago is still -7.3%. Timing beats conviction on LINK.
Tobias the lump sum being negative is why DCA looks good, thats survivorship of the comparison tbh. but yeah ADX 45.8 with RSI 58 is a decent regime
buying a 12.16 with stop at 10.96 while price is 60% off the 30.81 high, feels late and early at the same time somehow
12.16 entry, stop 10.38, target 13.64, the math on the risk is fine. my patience for another alt sitting 60 percent under its high is the weaker link
patience being the weaker link is the most honest take here. the 12.16 to 13.64 math works, sitting through the chop is the actual job
link at 12.16 with ccip revenue still growing feels like the last alt people refuse to reprice. 13.64 is conservative if the trend regime holds
44% win rate and the system still holds up, that detail gets skipped. the 10.38 stop does the lifting, being right is optional
entry at 12.16 with the mean and 50d down at 10.45 means the stop sits 14% away on a mean reversion play. half sizing isnt caution here, its the whole trade
