lump sum 4,105 vs 12-buy DCA 11,294 on ONDO over one year. this table alone should end the lump sum debates for anyone who bought at 0.46
dca winning by 7k on a chart down 83% is just timing dressed up as strategy. both entries lost, one just lost slower lol
dca losing slower is literally the point when support is 0.32 and atr runs 5.4% a day. slower losses buy you the chance to still be alive for the actual breakout
0.35 against a 2.14 high, down 83%, and it still gets a WAIT instead of a buy? bottoming calls have burned me twice on ONDO already
@tobias_ren same, bought the Stage 1 narrative at 0.60. respecting the 50d falling signal this time instead of hoping
golden cross and above the 200d while OBV bleeds out. someone is holding this up on paper while distribution happens off the tape
Down 83.4% from the 2.14 high and the system still prints a golden cross with ADX at 27. Bottoming stage, sure, but the OBV distribution says nobody serious is accumulating yet.
Fair point on the OBV, but ADX 27 with a golden cross is what the 2023 base looked like before the run to 2.14. The distribution argument cuts both ways here.
comparing this base to 2023 is generous tbh, back then obv climbed with price. here it bleeds while price holds. different animal
The 2023 comparison keeps bugging me too. Back then RWA narratives were fresh, now ONDO competes with every bank issuing its own tokenized paper
OBV bleeding during a flat range can also be exit liquidity leaving. either way nobody big is adding, agreed
38% win rate across 52 trades and the verdict is HOLD. that log reads like a donation to the exchange lol
@macdcynic thats the trend-following tax, gets chopped to bits when ONDO ranges 0.32 to 0.43. same system would print on an actual breakout
52 trades over 2 years on a ranging alt is like one a fortnight, the chop tax is brutal but its hardly overtrading. the 0.32 stop is the only line that matters here
38% win rate is fine when winners run 3x the size of losers. classic trend following, the deployment table above proves it
the donation framing is lazy tbh. 9 percent risk across 52 trades with 3R winners is a known expectancy profile, the chop is priced in
chop is priced in until the chop lasts two years and the 38 percent win rate bleeds the deployment table to zero. expectancy math assumes you survive the drawdowns
expectancy assumes the regime holds yeah, but the 0.32 stop is the exit if it doesnt. the plan at least knows its own weakness, more than most alt theses get
3 bull vs 5 bear factors and they still call it Stage 1 bottoming. 0.35 is only a bottom if the 50d turns, until then this is just a range
12k plan with the stop at 0.32 means risking about 9 percent for a shot at 0.43. thin edge but at least the math is honest
9 percent risk on a 38 percent win rate system, the math only works because the winners ran. im watching from the bench
bench squad here too. the win rate alone never killed anyone, the 0.32 stop is the only reason this math survives contact with reality
Resistance at 0.43 while price sits under the 50d at 0.36. Even the bulls should want one more flush toward 0.32 before deploying a 3,000 position
lump sum 4,105 vs DCA 11,294 and the verdict is HOLD. the table did more convincing than the prose lol
tables dont have shareholders lol. HOLD at 0.35 with resistance 8 cents up is just fear of being wrong on the record
DCA column winning by 7k under a HOLD verdict is the quietest bull case in the whole writeup. nobody wants to say it so i will
9 percent risk for a shot at 0.43 while the 50d falls is a bet the range resolves up. ondo hasnt given a single reason to believe that in six months
the 2023 base comparison keeps skipping one thing. back then ondo had the RWA narrative to itself, now it fights every bank issuing its own tokenized paper. different tape entirely
