ADX 53.6 and 8 of 9 factors bullish while still 30% off the high, thats the textbook stage 2 entry people always miss
XMR up 57% in 3 months yet still 30% off the 798 high. the one bear flag being far below high is the whole trade here, plenty of room to run
room to run maybe, but -9.9% on the year while SOL did +50 means the market keeps pricing privacy coins as a liability
you size so the drawdown stays survivable and you skip the maybe in recover. also 429 support holding is what separates this from the 2022 chop
fair point on the YTD, but nobody holds monero for the performance table. its the one major you actually cant trace, and that gets more valuable every time a regulator gets pushy
+2108% backtest looks amazing until you read the -56.7% max drawdown line. most people cant sit through that, theyd capitulate at -40
^ exactly, xmr did a 57% drawdown twice since 2021 and half the holders sold the bottom both times
backtest says +61.8% with a -51% max drawdown. so the plan is lose half my stack first then maybe recover, hard pass at 558
that drawdown is the strategy though, trend following always looks ugly mid-trade. real question is whether 6.41% daily ATR lets people actually hold
the 51% drawdown is the price of the 61.8%, you cant screen one out and keep the other. size it so the 429 support holding keeps you alive
exactly, but nobody sizes for it. people run the 61.8% target with a full position and eat the -51 on the way, that math ends accounts
the -51 column is a warning not a forecast. anyone full sizing a stage 2 trend after a 30 percent drawdown is asking for the lesson
the whole point of a grind strategy is sizing down so the drawdown stays survivable. people blow up running it full send
that -51% drawdown was two years of chop, not one bad week. sized right its survivable, sized like a moonshot its not
558 vs a 798 high and rsi only 59.3, plenty of room before this gets overheated. privacy coins quietly grinding
grinding is the whole monero story now. no hype candles, it just climbs while nobody on the timeline is watching
-51 percent drawdown to chase 61 percent upside on a coin down 10 on the year. the backtest is honest, the risk appetite required is not
558 above the 473 fifty day with ADX over 50 is a clean setup. everything depends on 631 resistance, that is where the last two runs died
631 is the wall, third test in this trend. thing about xmr tho is the moves come with zero liquidity warning, by the time you spot the breakout candle half of it is gone
631 third test with ADX above 50 usually resolves in a break, but xmr liquidity gaps mean your stop gets slipped to 640 anyway
thats why the plan stages entries instead of one fill. buy the 558, add on an actual 631 close with volume, skip the chase entirely
the 473 fifty day is the tell imo, held every test since the grind started. third time at 631 with ADX still over 50 and nobody gets filled when it breaks
third test of 631 in a single trend is usually the one that breaks. and xmr moves come with zero warning candles, by the time you spot the breakout youre chasing
grinding gang needs to accept xmr liquidity is the real ceiling. try moving size at 558 without moving the chart yourself
try clearing size on any privacy coin tho, at least xmr has real depth next to the others. 558 to 631 is 13% of clean trend if the third test finally breaks
the size comment is underrated. the 61.8 target math assumes you can actually fill near 631 without slippage eating half the edge
