44% off the high and MACD still red but yeah, high conviction lmao. trend following bros never change
yeah but support at 675 held twice already and the only bear factors are MACD and being far from the high. weak hands stuff
44% off the high is exactly when trend systems load up tho. you want entries after the new high? thats how you buy tops
buying tops is how you get entries at 1370 and ride to 766. wicksnare is right, the drawdown column is where the entries live
Agreed, and 675 double-holding while OBV climbs is the tell most people miss. The 44 percent drawdown conversation is the entry, not the warning.
OBV rising with volume ratio near 2 says sellers are the ones fading. 675 holding twice while bnb sits under 780 is not a dead chart
trend systems were buying the 2023 bottom while MACD was still red too. being early is literally the job description
the drawdown is the entry, not the complaint. 675 held twice with OBV rising and you rarely get ADX 33 at the top of a trend
Volume ratio 1.95 with OBV rising is the real signal here imo. Accumulation under 800 while everyone whines about the drawdown.
BUY signal with the price still 44% off the 1370 high is bold. but golden cross + ADX 33 says the trend is real, not a bounce
golden cross plus ADX 33 with 675 held twice is a real trend base. the MACD lag is the cost of entry, not a contradiction
macd lag as cost of entry is exactly it. by the time the crossover actually prints, 806 is long gone and you are entering 860 instead
exactly. entering 860 after the crossover prints vs 780 now is a whole extra 10 pct of risk for the comfort of a confirmed signal. macd lag is tuition, not a bug
44 pct off the high is only bold if you ignore that stage 2 uptrend label. the golden cross plus ADX 33 combo is exactly what these systems are built to catch, late entries are for momentum traders
806 resistance is the line. reclaim that and this prints fast
806 first, then the 900s open up. daily macd flipping would confirm it but entries under 780 feel fine while everyone stares at the drawdown from 1370
if 675 breaks your whole 806 thesis is dead anyway. entries under 780 only make sense while that double hold stays intact imo
if 675 breaks the 780 entries are the least of anyones worries, the stop writes itself below the double hold. the plan already covers it
Not sure I trust a system that calls MACD- bearish and still says HIGH conviction. One of those two signals is wrong.
@Ingrid trend following systems ignore MACD by design, the RSI 57.5 filter does the work. read the backtest section again
The MACD reading and the BUY are not contradictory though. The system enters before the crossover confirms, that is where the edge is.
the 806 resistance is the whole story here imo. two failed attempts at it this month, break that and 766 looks cheap
two failed attempts at 806 is exactly why im patient here. third try with OBV climbing like Nadia said below, that one breaks
third attempt at 806 with OBV climbing is the classic break setup. under 780 entries with a stop below 675, risk is defined
806 with the golden cross underneath is the textbook continuation setup. boring until it isnt
35k deployment on a third attempt at 806 is spicy but the 675 double hold with OBV climbing is real confluence. sizing half until we actually close above 806, then the rest
