Trend-Following Backtest
2-year simulation on a notional USD 15,000 starting balance using the model’s 50d/200d MA crossover + RSI filter. The model goes long when price is above a rising 50d MA with RSI 40-75, and goes flat on a death cross or RSI above 82. Hypothetical, before fees and slippage.
Strategy vs Buy & Hold

DCA vs Lump Sum (BUIDL)
Hypothetical result of a notional USD 15,000 placed one year ago under different timing schedules. Simulation only, not a recommendation.
| Strategy | Return | Value Today |
| Lump Sum (1y ago) | +0.0% | USD 15,000 |
| DCA — 4 buys | +0.0% | USD 15,000 |
| DCA — 6 buys | +0.0% | USD 15,000 |

Levels the system watches
Reference levels used by the trend model to classify BUIDL. They describe how the model reads the chart, not what anyone should do.
| Support (recent swing low) | USD 1.00 |
| Resistance (recent swing high) | USD 1.00 |
| Trend model’s invalidation level (ATR-based) | USD 1.00 (0.0% from current price) |
| ATR (14) | USD 0.000000 (0.0%/day) |
| Price location vs trend (model label) | Unknown |
The invalidation level is where the model would stop treating the current trend reading as valid (roughly 2x ATR below price or 0.5x ATR below the recent swing low, whichever is lower). It is a model parameter, not a stop-loss recommendation.

A tokenized fund sitting at exactly 1.00 with a 0.0% drawdown labeled Stage 3 Topping is the funniest thing this model has produced. It is a dollar fund, that is the point.
Stage 3 Topping on a fund that redeems at 1.00, the model treating NAV like a momentum chart lol
support and resistance both printed as 1.00 on the same chart as the topping call. the model is arguing with itself in public lol
and next month it will print stage 4 on the same flat 1.00 line. someone should backtest this monitor against the redemption schedule lol
stage 4 on a line that cannot leave 1.00, cant wait. the monitor should just print REDEEMS AT PAR and take the day off
death cross on a par redemption token should be framed and hung in the quant room. indicators need context, not just a chart
lmao came to say this. death cross on a token that redeems at par, peak quant comedy
a death cross on a par redemption token is peak quant comedy, someone should frame this monitor output
It really is. My favorite detail is the 0.0% drawdown sitting right under the Stage 3 call, the model contradicts itself in two fields.
Tbh the RSI 51.9 being the only bullish factor makes sense. BlackRock prints the yield monthly, the chart signals are noise next to that 5ish percent.
the monthly T-bill yield point is correct, the cash flow beats every signal on this chart. the banner is decoration
right, and the 5ish percent arrives whether the chart says topping or not. only line on this monitor that pays rent
Thats the correct read. The comparison row shows BTC down 4.8% while BUIDL nets exactly zero, and that T-bill yield still clears most token strategies this year.
I hold BUIDL for the T-bill yield and ignore the overlays entirely. The actual risk sits on the redemption rail and who backs it.
the monthly yield print is the only line that matters for BUIDL holders. everything else is chart art
The chart talk is cute but the only metric that matters is fund size, and BUIDL supply has gone one direction since launch. T-bill yield with 24/7 settlement, the signal is the mints.
the mints tell you demand but redemptions tell you conviction. would love this monitor to chart net flows instead of printing death crosses at 1.00
Agreed. Death cross commentary on a par-redeemable fund is noise, the AUM line is the real chart. Institutions are not checking RSI when the monthly T-bill statement lands.
